MACHINE FOR AUTOMATICALLY FEEDING FLATWORK ARTICLES
Machine for feeding flatwork articles to an ironer-dryer machine, the machine including loading posts (1) with a load conveyor (2) for loading flatwork articles (53); one pair of transferring grippers (6) at each loading post (1), two or more spreading grippers (7) at a pickup station movable along one transverse guide (8); an outgoing feed conveyor (9) to transfer the flatwork article (53); and a vacuum chamber (44) below the spreading grippers (7) and below conveyor (9). The spreading grippers (7) are independent of each other, to spread a flatwork article (53) at several different zones with regard to the conveyor (9), operative in one or more lanes. A suction entrance (45) of vacuum chamber (44) has associated movable separating blades (59) temporally preventing insertion of a spread flatwork article (53) into vacuum chamber (44) and a controller coordinates the movements of the transferring grippers (6), spreading grippers (7) and separating blades (59).

ROLLER IRONING PRESS
A roller ironing press including, between two supporting shoulders, respectively a first shoulder and a second shoulder: a motorized roller, which cooperates with one or more pressers, the one or more pressers being heated and shaped complementarily to the roller, and elements for moving the one or more pressers toward the roller.
Elements for moving the one or more pressers toward the roller include at least one cable which extends between pulleys, the cable being moved by drive elements which are kinematically connected to at least one of its ends.

Method and apparatus for ironing and folding laundry items
A method and apparatus that makes provision for two identical folding machines to be arranged one beside the other, and for these to be operated synchronously, so that the large operating width which is necessary for ironing large laundry items, in particular transversely, is also available for folding such laundry items. If large laundry items are to be ironed, and folded, in particular transversely, this requires ironers and folding machines with an appropriately large operating width. Such large operating widths currently cannot be realized technologically in folding machines.

Steamer and method of controlling the same
A steamer may uniformly spray steam onto laundry even when a position of a user's arm changes. The steamer may include: a handle having a hinge formed at one end in a longitudinal direction thereof; a head that is rotatably connected to the hinge and sprays steam; a motor that rotates the head about the hinge; a sensor that senses an inclination in the longitudinal direction of the handle with respect to a horizontal line; and a controller that operates the motor, based on the inclination sensed by the sensor, to rotate the head to a position at which the head may spray steam horizontally.
