ANTIFOULING PROCESSING AGENT COMPOSITION, AND ARTICLES AND TEXTILE PRODUCTS TREATED BY USING THE SAME
To provide an antifouling processing agent composition capable of imparting oil repellency and antifouling properties (stain release properties), while suppressing a reduction in the water absorbency of a textile product. This antifouling processing agent composition comprises: a fluorinated polymer comprising from 30 to 70 mass % of units based on F(CF.sub.2).sub.nY—OCOCR═CH.sub.2 (wherein Y is an alkylene group, and R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or a halogen atom) and from 20 to 60 mass % of units based on CH.sub.2═CR.sup.1—COO—(R.sup.2O).sub.q—R.sup.3 (wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sup.2 is an alkylene group, and R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a (meth)acryloyl group, or a glycidyl group), and having a number average molecular weight of 3,000-500,000; and a fluorinated amphoteric surfactant having a C.sub.1-6 perfluoroalkyl group or a C.sub.3-9 perfluoroalkenyl group, and having a number average molecular weight of less than 3,000.

Treatment comprising water- and oil-repellent agent
A textile having high fluorine adhesion rate, and excellent water- and oil-repellency can be obtained by a method of producing a treated textile, comprising steps of: (1) preparing a treatment liquid comprising a water- and oil-repellent agent which comprises at least one fluorine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a fluorine-containing polymer or a fluorine-containing low molecular weight compound, (2) adjusting pH of the treatment liquid to at most 7, (3) applying the treatment liquid to a textile, (4) treating the textile with steam, and (5) washing the textile with water and dehydrating the textile, wherein the treatment liquid comprises a thermally gelling substance.

SPRAY-ON ANTI-SOIL FORMULATIONS FOR FIBERS, CARPETS AND FABRICS
Disclosed are spray-on anti-soil formulations, and methods for treating fibers, carpets, and fabrics with the same. The anti-soil formulations comprise a synergistic blend of an anti-soil component and a stain blocker component adapted to be sprayed-on a fiber, carpet, or fabric instead of known exhaust applications. The anti-soil component can be either fluorochemical or non-fluorochemical based, while the stain blocker can comprise any chemical that blocks positively charged dye sites. Fibers, carpets and fabrics treated with the anti-soil formulations exhibit superior anti-soil characteristics compared to sprayed-on fluorochemicals and exhibit similar anti-soil characteristics compared to known exhaust applications.
