NON-FLUORINATED BLOCK COPOLYMER
A surface treatment agent which is a water-repellent agent, includes (1) a fluorine-free block copolymer, and (2) a liquid medium which is an organic solvent, water, or a mixture of water and an organic solvent. The non-fluorinated block copolymer includes at least one block segment (A) which includes a repeating unit formed from one or more types of acrylic monomer having a long-chain hydrocarbon group containing 12-40 carbon atoms. The non-fluorinated block copolymer preferably contains a segment (B) constituted by at least one of: (B1) a block segment including a repeating unit, different from that of segment (A), that is formed from an acrylic monomer having a long-chain hydrocarbon group including 12-40 carbon atoms; (B2) a block segment including a repeating unit formed from an acrylic monomer not having a long-chain hydrocarbon group; and (B3) a random segment formed from at least two types of acrylic monomers.
Ventilation insert
A ventilation insert for textiles, with at least one layer, covered at least partially by an absorption material and having ventilation openings, the openings being at least partially closeable via a liquid by swelling of the absorption material, obtainable by: a) treating a layer having ventilation openings with a mixture, containing a wetting agent, initiator, polymerizable monomer or oligomers, and a cross-linking agent, as a preliminary stage for the absorption material; and b) polymerizing the monomer or oligomer to form the absorption material while forming a bonded connection between the absorption material and the layer. The ventilation insert has a relatively low thickness, a low weight per unit area, and high flexibility permanently and independently of moisture after economical production, via one layer, self-sealingly closing ventilation openings, and containing the absorption material. The absorption material is connected to the layer by bonding, at least in some regions.

Non-woven fabric made from fiber coated with organic binder polymer compound, electrochemical cell comprising the non-woven fabric, and method for making the non-woven fabric
The present disclosure relates to a non-woven fabric made from a fiber coated with a binder polymer by spinning a non-woven forming fiber in an organic binder polymer compound solution, an electrochemical cell using the non-woven fabric as a separator substrate, and a method of making the non-woven fabric, and the non-woven fabric has a pore diameter in a range of 0.001 to 10 ?m, thereby providing a mechanical property required for a separator while ensuring a favorable movement of a lithium ion, and in the use of the non-woven fabric as a separator of an electrochemical cell, eliminating a need for a process of applying a separate adhesive layer, resulting in an effect of simplifying a separator manufacturing process.
