ODOR ADSORBENT COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR USE IN POLYMERS
20170335510 · 2017-11-23 ·

A method of providing odor control to a natural fiber or a polymeric containing material and an odor control treated article are provided. The method comprises applying an odor adsorbing solution to the natural fiber or the polymeric containing material, wherein the odor adsorbing solution comprises an oxazoline homopolymer or an extended or a modified polymer based on an oxazoline homopolymer.

Noise-absorbent and odor-adsorbent fabric cover systems for vehicle interiors

The present disclosure provides cover systems for covering components of a cabin interior of a vehicle, such as an automobile, a train car, a bus, a boat, or an aircraft, among others. For instance, the cover systems may cover one or more of a seat and a floor, among others, of the cabin interior. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb one or more of low-frequency sounds, such as low-frequency noise emitted by an engine, and high-frequency sounds, among others. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb odor molecules. The fabric covering systems may include multiple layers. For instance, one of the layers may include activated carbon fibers. The activated carbon fibers may absorb or partially absorb one or more of sounds, liquids, and odors, among others.

Polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof

This invention relates to odor control molecules comprised of polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof.

TUFTED CARPET AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

A tufted carpet constructed by embedding pile yarns on a primary base fabric, where a ratio at which a surface of the primary base fabric is visible accounts for 5% to 85% as viewed from above the tufted carpet. The primary base fabric is formed by entangling a color fiber, a characteristic fiber, and a low melt fiber on a spunbonded base fabric or a woven base fabric. The color fiber imparts an appearance design to the surface of the primary base fabric; the characteristic fiber has at least one function selected from the group consisting of deodorization, antibacterial, anti-allergen, and anti-mite; and the low melt fiber melts at a lower temperature than melting points of the other color fiber and characteristic fiber, and fixes these fibers on the surface of the primary base fabric by thermocompression-bonding. The resulting carpet exhibits excellent shape stability, economical efficiency, and lightness.

PACKAGING SUBSTRATE

The present invention provides a coating composition comprising a binder, a rheology modifier that acts to increase the viscosity of the coating composition and a particulate component able to remove a volatile organic compound from an environment in contact with the coating composition.

POLYETHYLENEIMINE COMPOUNDS CONTAINING N-HALAMINE AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF

This invention relates to odor control molecules comprised of polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof.

FABRIC

Provided is a fabric that has an excellent deodorant property and is less likely to generate water spots. A fabric (1) according to the present invention includes, on one surface thereof, a first coating layer (2) containing a fluorinated water-and-oil repellent agent and a second coating layer (3) containing a deodorant, the first coating layer (2) containing the fluorinated water-and-oil repellent agent in an amount per unit area of the fabric of 1.3 to 5.0 g/m.sup.2, and the first coating layer (2) existing between the fabric (1) and the second coating layer (3).

ADHESIVE ARTICLE LINER WITH SORBENT MATERIAL

Described herein is a liner comprising a sorbent material entrapped in a non-woven fiber matrix, wherein the liner comprises a first and a second major surface; and a first adhesive layer contacting the first major surface of the liner, wherein the first adhesive layer comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive.

Carpet coating compositions of improved stability formed from vinyl acetate/ethylene copolymer dispersions

Disclosed are aqueous carpet-coating compositions suitable for use as binders or adhesives in carpet products. Such compositions, prior to being applied to carpet substrates and cured, comprise: A) a selected type of vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) copolymer dispersion which has been stabilized with emulsifiers and a cellulose ether-based protective colloid, and B) at least one carbon black based filler in the form of a dispersion/slurry with a solids content between 20 and 70%. These coating compositions exhibit especially desirable initial viscosity and viscosity stability characteristics. Carpet products which utilize such coating compositions to provide binder and/or adhesive layer within the carpet are also disclosed. Such carpet products can have desirable odor-controlling and odor-absorbing properties.
