BASE INTERLINING, METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The invention relates to a novel binder system and its use for bonding textile fabrics as well as products containing such bonded textile fabrics. The materials according to the invention are suitable for manufacturing base interlinings which may be used for manufacturing base interlinings for sarking, roofing and sealing membranes, particularly for manufacturing coated sarking, roofing and sealing membranes.
SHEET MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The sheet material according to the present invention has a polymer elastic body and a fibrous base material comprising ultrafine fibers, wherein the average single fiber diameter of the ultrafine fibers is 0.1 .Math.m to 10.0 .Math.m, the polymer elastic body has a hydrophilic group and an N-acylurea bond and/or an isourea bond, and the following conditions are satisfied : the longitudinal stiffness, in accordance with method A (45° cantilever method) in the text of “8.21 Stiffness” of JIS L 1096:2010 “Testing Methods for Woven and Knitted Fabrics”, is 40 mm to 140 mm ; and after immersion for 24 hours in N,N-dimethylformamide, the following are obtained in wear testing using a pressing load of 12.0 kPa and 20,000 friction cycles in accordance with method E (Martindale method) in the text of “8.19 Wear Strength and Friction Discoloration” of JIS L 1096:2010 “Testing Methods for Woven and Knitted Fabrics”: a grade of at least 4 and a wear loss of not more than 25 mg.
PROCESS FOR IN-LINE EXTRUSION COATINGS ONTO ROOFING SHINGLES DURING MANUFACTURING AND ROOFING SHINGLES MADE BY THE PROCESS
A process for in-line extrusion of polymeric coatings onto roofing shingles during manufacturing includes moving a web of shingle substrate material in a downstream direction and extruding a liquefied coating of polymeric material onto at least one surface of the moving web to form a thin film. The liquefied coating may be a molten polymeric material that forms a thin film on a back surface of the shingle material to prevent sticking and eliminate the need for a traditional back dusting with material such as powdered stone. The polymeric film further may be applied to the substrate material in lieu of a saturation coating of asphalt, thus reducing cost and weight while providing a comparable moisture barrier and a lighter more flexible shingle.
FLAME-RESISTANT COMPOSITE SUBSTRATES FOR BITUMINOUS MEMBRANES
A porous composite substrate for producing bituminous membranes, comprising a first nonwoven and a second nonwoven layer which comprise polyester fibers, and an intermediate nonwoven layer comprising organic flame-resistant fibers. A combustion temperature of the organic flame-resistant fibers is at least 500° C. and/or a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the organic flame-resistant fibers is at least 25%. The composite substrate is mechanically consolidated.

ROOFING MATERIALS WITH IMPROVED LOW TEMPERATURE SEALANT PERFORMANCE AND METHODS OF MAKING THEREOF
This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roofing material comprising (a) a coated or covered substrate and (b) a single sealant applied to a surface of the coated or covered substrate, with the single sealant being free of asphalt. The single sealant exhibits a minimum activation temperature (° C.) (tan δ>1) from −10° C. to 0° C. The single sealant is configured to adhere the roofing material to at least one of (i) an underlying roofing material, (ii) an overlying roofing material, and (iii) a roofing deck substrate.
Insulated building structure
An insulated building structure, in particular an insulated roof structure or a wall structure of a building, comprises at least one thermal insulation layer. At least one moisture-variable protective layer for the thermal insulation layer is provided on an outer side of the thermal insulation layer and on an inner side of the thermal insulation layer facing a building interior of the building. The protective layers each have a water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thickness S.sub.d. The water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thicknesses S.sub.d of the two protective layers deviate from each other by less than 20%, preferably less than 10%, in the range of a relative humidity from 0% to 25% and/or in the range of a relative humidity from 80% to 100%.
Process for in-line extrusion coatings onto roofing shingles during manufacturing and roofing shingles made by the process
A process for in-line extrusion of polymeric coatings onto roofing shingles during manufacturing includes moving a web of shingle substrate material in a downstream direction and extruding a liquefied coating of polymeric material onto at least one surface of the moving web to form a thin film. ROOFING MEMBRANE
A roofing membrane includes a plurality of resins present in an amount of 30 wt. % to 100 wt. % based on a total weight of the roofing membrane. The plurality of resins include a first resin and a second resin. The first resin includes a resin present in an amount of 20 wt. % to 80 wt. % based on a total weight of the plurality of resins in the roofing membrane; that is not moisture curable; and that is cured. The second resin includes a resin present in an amount of 20 wt. % to 80 wt. % based on the total weight of the plurality of resins in the roofing membrane; that is moisture curable; that is uncured; and includes silicon. The roofing membrane is flexible. The roofing membrane, when exposed to moisture, exhibits a tear strength that meets ASTM D6878.
