TEXTILE MATERIALS CONTAINING DYED POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE FIBERS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A textile material comprises a plurality of yarns, the yarns containing an intimate blend of dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers. The dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprising a disperse dye that is distributed substantially evenly across the cross-sectional area of the fibers. A method for dyeing textile materials containing polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprises the steps of (a) providing a textile material comprising yarns which contain an intimate blend of polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers, (b) providing a dye liquor comprising a liquid medium and a disperse dye, (c) applying the dye liquor to the textile material, (d) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature sufficient to evaporate substantially all of the liquid medium from the textile material, and (e) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature of about 180° C. or more to fix the disperse dye to the polyphenylene sulfide fibers.
PROCESS FOR DYEING ANIMAL TEXTILE FIBERS COMPRISING THE USE OF PURIFIED SYNTHETIC FOOD DYES
A textile dyeing process is described for dyeing a textile material, product or article consisting of animal fibers, comprising the steps of dipping said textile material, product or article into a dyeing bath comprising at least one detergent substance, a wetting substance, a leveling substance and an acidity regulator; adding to the dyeing bath a coloring substance approved for food use; subjecting the dyed textile material, product or article to washes; and finally subjecting the dyed textile material, product or article to a color fixing treatment.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECOLORED POLYESTER, DECOLORED POLYESTER, AND DECOLORING AGENT
A method for producing a decolorized polyester according to the present invention includes: a step of preparing a polyester colored with a colorant, and a decolorizing agent containing a glycol ether-type compound having a boiling point at atmospheric pressure of 160° C. or higher; and a step of removing the colorant, by bringing the decolorizing agent into contact at least once with the colored polyester while heating the decolorizing agent to a temperature equal to or lower than a melting point of the polyester, to thereby obtain the decolorized polyester.
Inkjet ink compositions
Novel inkjet ink formulations having a humectant composition, at least one pigment, and at least one compound selected from a binder, a defoamer, a leveling agent, an antibacterial agent, and a neutralizing agent; and water is disclosed. A method for printing on a flexible substrate is further disclosed.
Thermal inkjet dye sublimation inks
A thermal inkjet dye sublimation ink consists of a disperse dye colorant dispersion, primary and secondary solvents, a chelating agent, oleth-3-phosphate, additive(s), and water. The colorant dispersion is present in an amount ranging from about 1 wt % actives to about 7 wt % actives. The amount of the primary solvent (glycerol, ethoxylated glycerol, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, dipropylene glycol, or combinations thereof) ranges from about 10 wt % to about 22 wt %, and the amount of the secondary solvent ranges from 0 wt % to about 7 wt %. The chelating agent amount ranges from 0 wt % actives to less than 0.1 wt % actives, and the oleth-3-phosphate amount ranges from about 0.1 wt % to about 0.75 wt. The additive is selected from the group consisting of a buffer, a biocide, another surfactant, and combinations thereof.
CYAN THERMAL INKJET DYE SUBLIMATION INKS
A thermal inkjet dye sublimation ink consists of a cyan disperse dye colorant dispersion, glycerol, a water soluble or water miscible organic solvent, a chelating agent, additive(s), and water. The colorant dispersion is present in an amount ranging from about 1 wt % actives to about 7 wt % actives. Glycerol is present in an amount ranging from about 10 wt % to about 22 wt %, and the water soluble or miscible organic solvent is present in an amount ranging from 0 wt % to about 7 wt %. The chelating agent is present in an amount greater than 0 wt % actives and less than 0.1 wt % actives. The additive is selected from the group consisting of a buffer, a biocide, a surfactant, and combinations thereof.
