ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTOR AND ITS CLEANING OR REGENERATION
An electrochemical reactor suitable for reducing dye to leucodye, comprises at least four electrolytic cells, wherein the electrolytic cells are provided in the form of at least two stacks of at least two electrolytic cells each such that one stack at a time can be separated for cathode or anode regeneration during suspension preparation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COLORING NANOFIBROUS MATERIALS
A method for coloring a carbon nanotube (CNT) product is provided, including placing a CNT product in an electric circuit to ground the product, charging a plurality of pigment molecules with an opposite charge from the CNT product, applying a coating of the charged pigment molecules to a surface of the CNT product, and exposing the coating to a temperature sufficient to cure the coating, while allowing the coating to form a substantially conformal film on the surface of the CNT product.
LEUCODYE (SUCH AS LEUCOINDIGO) AS DISPERSING AID
An electrolytic dye reduction method comprises preparing a catholyte by dispersing a dye in a leucodye comprising electrolyte. In a preferred method the leucodye like leucoindigo is the sole dispersing aid.
CORONA TREATMENT SYSTEM
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a color sensor is provided for sensing whether a ground roller in a corona treatment system needs to be serviced. The color sensor is capable of detecting imperfections which have changed the reflectance level of the ground roller from a predefined level. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, if a determination is made that the ground roller needs to be serviced, then an alarm is activated and/or the operation of the corona treatment system is ceased.
Textile printing with inkjet inks
A printing method includes selecting an inkjet ink including a pigment, and selecting an active agent, including an electromagnetic radiation-absorbing active material, and an aqueous or non-aqueous vehicle. The method further includes inkjet printing the inkjet ink and the active agent directly onto a textile fabric. The textile fabric having the ink and active agent thereon is exposed to electromagnetic radiation.
METHOD FOR TEXTILE PRINTING
A method is presented for direct digital printing on a textile substrate utilizing a two-step pretreatment comprising a plasma pretreatment and a heat pretreatment step followed by inkjet printing on the textile and a final heat treatment step.
SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT AND/OR COATING OF SUBSTRATES
A system for treating a substrate comprising a treatment module and a substrate plane. The substrate extending along a substrate plane to treat the substrate and wherein a fluid is deliverable via the module to a local region between the module and the substrate plane to treat the substrate with a predetermined treatment.
Leucodye (such as leucoindigo) as dispersing aid
An electrolytic dye reduction method comprises preparing a catholyte by dispersing a dye in a leucodye comprising electrolyte. In a preferred method the leucodye like leucoindigo is the sole dispersing aid.
Textile printing
Herein is described a method of printing on a textile substrate. The method may comprise: a. applying a primer comprising a cross-linkable primer resin onto a surface of the textile substrate to form a primer layer; b. electrophotographically printing onto the primer layer an electrostatic ink composition comprising a cross-linkable thermoplastic resin to form a printed layer; c. applying a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linking agent to the printed layer, wherein i. the cross-linking agent penetrates into at least the electrostatic ink composition and the primer layer; and/or ii. the cross-linking agent is a non-isocyanate agent; and d. activating the cross-linking agent. Printed textiles are also described.
INKJET PRINTING ON POLYESTER TEXTILES
A method of pre-treating a polyester textile for inkjet printing with a water-based disperse dye ink composition, which method comprises treating at, least a part of, a surface of the polyester textile to increase its hydrophobicity.
