A plurality of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) tensile yarns are positioned around the at least one subunit and extend along the longitudinal axis. A layer of a bedding compound is disposed between the plurality of UHMWPE tensile yarns and the cable jacket.
