FABRIC WITH VARIABLE FABRIC PROPERTIES

Disclosed herein is a fabric having variable fabric properties, the fabric comprising a plurality of fabric regions, each fabric region formed from at least one set of yarns; and the sets of yarns of the fabric regions belonging to a common family of thermoplastic polymer materials, wherein the fabric is moulded and the fabric regions have different fabric properties from each other.

SKIN MATERIAL, INTERIOR MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INTERIOR MATERIAL

For the purpose of providing a skin material that is easily bonded to a base material, an interior material including the skin material, and a method for manufacturing the interior material, a skin material includes a base cloth layer and a design layer. The base cloth layer includes a surface fabric and a back fabric, and a binding yarn that binds the surface fabric and the back fabric. The binding yarn is erected between the surface fabric and the back fabric to form a void inside the base cloth layer. An embossed pattern is formed in a concave shape on the skin material from the design layer side. A thin portion is formed in a band shape in a peripheral edge portion of the skin material. The skin material is bonded to the base material to obtain an interior material.

Knit component bonding

An article may include first and second components comprising non-woven textiles and a third component positioned between the first two components. A first surface of the third component that is adjacent the first component comprises a thermoplastic polymer material, and the third component is fused with a first region of the first component and unfused with a second region of the first component. A method of manufacturing the article, which may be an article of wear, includes arranging the components to form a stacked configuration so that the third component is positioned between the first and second components. Heat and compression may be applied to at least a first region of the first component to fuse the first region with the third component, whereas a second region of the first component may remain unfused to the second component.

Double-face elastic fabric with hook-and-loop properties

A double-face fabric having elastic properties in its warp direction and provided with hook-and-loop properties, formed by the weaving of warp yarns and of weft yarns. The warp yarns are of four different types worked in different weaves with respect to the weft yarns, respectively: elastic yarns (A) worked in a taffeta weave; core yarns (B), formed of synthetic yarns texturized by false twist on the face, worked in a plain weave alternating with surface floats and having a linear strand density in the range from 10 to 25 dtex; core yarns (C) on the back side, formed of multifilament synthetic yarns, having a linear strand density in the range from 0.3 to 1.7 dtex, worked in a rep weave, alternating floats of great length on the back side and short binding areas on the face side, binding yarns, exclusively formed of thermo-adhesive synthetic yarns, having a melting point in the range from 80° C. to 160° C., worked in a plain weave.

IMPACT AND CUT-THROUGH RESISTANT, SELF-LOCATING, MULTILAYERED TEXTILE SLEEVE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF

A protective member for a wire harness and electrical member fixed thereto, a wire harness assembly, and a method of constructing a protective member for a wire harness and electrical member fixed thereto are provided. The protective member includes a tubular woven wall extending between opposite open ends about a central axis and a tubular braided wall fixed to the tubular woven wall. One end of the tubular woven wall is configured to overlie the electrical member to provide protection thereto, and the tubular braided wall extends away from the other of the opposite open ends of the tubular woven wall about the central axis for operable attachment a wire harness.

ROW OF ARTIFICIAL EYELASHES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

A row of artificial eyelashes to be fixed to the edge of an eyelid, having (i) a base part intended to be fixed to the edge of the eyelid, and (ii) false eyelashes, the base part having a first chain-stitch knitted warp thread, the false eyelashes passing through the chain stitches without being tied thereto.

Directionally reinforced products and related method

A stitch-bonded tape or other directionally stabilized product wherein stitch-bonding is carried out by overstitching yarns stitched through a sheeting or other surface substrate in conjunction with the introduction of high tenacity lay-in yarn elements disposed longitudinally in the machine direction of formation to provide strength in the length direction. The overstitching yarns secure the lay-in yarns in place relative to the surface substrate. An adhesive or other coating is disposed in covering relation to the lay-in yarn elements.

High resolution headline sonar cable

A production method for a headline sonar cable characterized by steps of: a. providing a first strength member (14); b. coupling to strength member (14) a conductor (122); c. forming a layer of polymeric material about the combination of strength member (14) and conductor (122) while ensuring that the conductor remains slack; d. forming a flow shield around the layer of polymeric material, thus forming an elongatable internally located conductive structure; and e. braiding a strength-member jacket layer (52) of polymeric material around the elongatable internally located conductive structure while ensuring that the conductor is slack when surrounded by the jacket layer (52). For another embodiment, an optical fibre is wrapped around the exterior of the layer of polymeric material within which is enclosed a braided conductor formed about the first strength member (14). Other embodiments employ further thermo-plastic layers and further sheaths and further conductors.

Knitted textile and method of forming

A knitted textile (2) having a first layer (4) including a first yarn (12) with a thermoplastic composition integrally formed with a second layer (6) including a second yarn (14), the first yarn (12) forming an array of knitted patterns (16) defining voids (8) through the first layer (4) to the second layer (6). The first layer (4) may be heat treated to form a film. (24). Treatment of the first layer (4) may change zonal and directional tensile properties of the knitted textile (2). The Poisson's ratio of the knitted textile (2) may be greater than or equal to zero in a first axis (32) and/or a second axis (30), before and/or after treatment. Articles of apparel, including articles of footwear (26) and garments incorporating the knitted textile (2), and methods of forming the knitted textiles (2) and articles are disclosed.
