Machine for dewatering and drying a fibrous web
A machine for dewatering and drying a paper, cardboard or other fibrous web, to which machine a fibrous stock suspension is fed which is formed at least partially from waste paper. The machine includes at least two press nips which are formed in each case by two press rolls, wherein a fibrous web runs through first press nip with a water absorbing dewatering belt on both sides. The fibrous web then runs through a second press nip with at least one other dewatering belt and a smooth impermeable transfer belt on both sides. A transfer belt transfers the fibrous web after second press nip to a belt in a downstream machine unit, e.g. dryer group. The dryer group allows the fibrous web to be guided in a serpentine manner alternatively over heated dryer cylinders and vacuum equipped guide rolls.
Process and device for manufacturing a laminated material comprising a fibrillated cellulose layer
The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a laminated material (S) comprising a fibrillated cellulose layer, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: (a) depositing a suspension (1) of fibrillated cellulose on a filtration membrane (2) and draining the suspension through that membrane so as to form a wet layer of fibrillated cellulose (A) having a dryness, that is to say a ratio between the mass of dry matter and the total mass of the fibrillated cellulose layer, of between 5% and 18%; (b) transferring the wet layer (A) under pressure to an at least partially hydrophilic surface of a substrate (B), so as to form the laminated material (S); (c) drying the laminated material. The invention also relates to a device for implementing the process.
SEAL STRIP TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS AND ASSEMBLIES THEREFOR
An assembly includes: a seal strip with an upper wear surface and an opposed lower surface, the seal strip configured to provide a seal for a suction roll, the seal strip comprising a first material having a first thermal conductivity; a seal strip holder, the seal strip residing in the seal strip holder and movable relative thereto; and a temperature monitoring system. The temperature monitoring system comprises: a heat-conducting rod at least partially embedded in the seal strip, the heat-conducting rod comprising a second material, wherein the second material has a second thermal conductivity that is higher than the first thermal conductivity; a temperature sensor connected with the heat-conducting rod for sensing temperature in the heat-conducting rod, and a controller operatively connected with the temperature sensor, the controller configured to receive signals from the temperature sensor and process the signals to indicate a temperature of the upper surface of the seal strip.
Arrangement in a perforated roll of a fiber web machine and prefabricated sensor sheet for a perforated roll of a fiber web machine
A perforated roll (10) of a fiber web machine includes a roll shell (19), holes (13) extending through the roll shell, and a sensing system (14) arranged in the roll shell. The sensing system (14) includes at least one pair of leads (16), to which one or more sensors (15) have been connected. At least one pair of leads is composed of flat leads (17.2, 17.2), which are arranged in the roll shell side by side. A prefabricated sensor sheet (26) may be prepared for a perforated roll of a fiber web machine, such that holes may be drilled therethrough to communicate with the roll shell holes (13).
Pocket ventilator device and method
A system and a method for ventilating an offset pocket space located in a drying section of a papermaking machine, the offset pocket space being situated between three axially parallel drying cylinders over which a paper web consecutively runs, a first and a third of the drying cylinders being vertically spaced from a second of the drying cylinders, the method comprising creating a positive pressure zone between the body and the felt between the third cleft and the second cleft.
