ACTION-SPORTS RAMP HAVING TEXTURED, PAPER-BASED SURFACE
An action-sports ramp having a substantially rigid panel and a support structure. The substantially rigid panel includes multiple layers of cured, resin-saturated paper. An outermost layer of the layers of paper has texturing. The panel forms a sloping surface. The support structure is configured to support an action-sports rider and to support the panel at a side of the panel opposite the outermost layer.
SPORTS EXERCISE AREA WITH IMPACT ATTENUATING SYSTEM AND IMPACT ATTENUATING SYSTEM
A sports exercise area comprising a landing area comprising an impact attenuating system for attenuating impact when landing on the landing area is provided. An impact attenuating system (1; 2) is provided for attenuating impact onto a landing area, for example when exercising freestyle sports, gymnastics or athletics. The impact attenuating system (1) comprises a first inflatable structure (14). The first inflatable structure (14) comprises a first sheet (101) and a sheet (102). A first side (111) of the first sheet is in contact with and connected to a first side (112) of the second sheet along a first plurality of parallel first connection lines (103-1, 103-2, 103-2) to form a first plurality (104) of parallel first air chambers (104-1, 104-2, 104-3). The first plurality of parallel first air chambers is inflatable to form a first plurality of parallel first tubular airbags arranged side-by-side in a first plane substantially parallel to the top surface of the landing area. A top layer (110) may be provided. A second inflatable structure (24) may be provided on top of the first inflatable structure (14).
Extended skating rink and method of play thereon
A roller skating rink for players to play a skating game utilizes one or more game implements. A skating track includes a peripheral edge and a center area. The roller skating rink includes a concave peripheral wall that encloses the skating track and has a lower end and an upper end that are substantially vertically aligned. The concave peripheral wall may include one or more doorways through which the players and the game implements may traverse. One or more propelling devices are each adapted to propel one of the game implements into the roller skating rink. One or more scoring receptacles are situated for receiving one or more of the game implements therein proximate the upper end of the concave peripheral wall. A method of game play is further disclosed.
Digital video structural support system
A digital video ramp assembly incorporates process-formed structural LED tiles with modular components that join in a system of scalable structural LED tiles forming a complete LED display structure with integrated LED embedded tiles with interlocking and inter-trans-positioning features sometimes requiring additional structural framing.
Modular skate component and systems thereof
Described herein is a modular skate system that includes at least one modular skate component comprising a major surface, a core comprising a body formed from a first material, an outer layer formed from a second material, the outer layer surrounding at least a portion of the core, wherein the first material is different from the second material, and wherein the major surface comprises the outer layer.
Modular ramp system
A modular ramp system includes a ramp component and a connector releasably joined to the ramp component. The ramp component has first and second inclined surfaces and a connecting portion positioned between the first and second inclined surfaces. The connector has a bottom side formed with a first and second coupling section connectable to the connecting portion. The connector is positionable in a first position in which one of the first and second coupling sections is releasably joined to the connecting portion of the ramp component and the other of the first and second coupling sections is adapted to releasably couple to a ramp or an external structure, and a second position in which the first and second coupling sections are releasably joined to connecting portion of the ramp component.
Precast park refuge construction method and apparatus
A building system comprising a combination of precast or prefabricated structural elements to serve as skate parks, swimming pools, or community gathering places; and to provide refuge such as tornado shelters. Precast or pre-manufactured modular cells have an open bottom, a first and second side wall, a rear wall, and a functional top surface. The functional top surfaces of the modules include an inclined or curved surface. When combined, the top surfaces form useful areas such as a skate park, swimming pool, or amphitheater seating. Sleeves, keys, and other features facilitate the assembly of the modules. A cast slab may be poured after assembly; or the modules may be secured to a slab. Example modules include a Flat Ramp Block, a Circular Ramp Block, and a Circular Bowl Block, a stair block, and a ledge block.
