Load distribution and absorption underpayment system

A load distributing and absorbing system that lies below a superstructure material which is exposed to percussive forces. The load distributing and absorbing system is interposed between the superstructure material and a foundation. The system has a barrier layer that lies below the superstructure material and an underlayment infrastructure positioned below the barrier layer. Included in the underlayment infrastructure are hat-shaped absorbing members.

Padding layer for athletic field
11499275 · 2022-11-15 · ·

Various embodiments for a pad that may be combined with other similar pads to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The pad includes a top surface and a bottom surface. Bottom-side projections are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad. Water channels are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad defined as a recessed area between individual ones of the bottom-side projections. A drainage hole is positioned in at least one of the bottom-side projections such that the drainage hole does not connect with any of the water channels on the bottom surface. The drainage hole may be at least partially coupled to projection channels on the bottom-side projections, where the projection channels act as a water vacuum to facilitate air circulation and vertical water evacuation relative to the drainage hole.

A method of installing a binder-based overlay system may include contacting a layer of geotextile fabric to a surface of a substrate and applying a primer layer to a surface of the geotextile fabric. Two or more binder layers including infill particles may be applied over the primer layer. A resurfacer layer followed by one or more color layers may be applied over the two or more binder layers. The primer layer, one or more binder layers, resurfacer layer, and two or more color layers may cure upon application to form a monolithic layer upon the substrate.

Construction of a synthetic grass playing fields by flooring panels
09828729 · 2017-11-28 · ·

For the construction of synthetic grass playing fields, a plurality of panels (1, 1′, 1″) are manufactured by injection molding and stacked in groups (50). Each stacked group (50) is placed on a distributor vehicle (90) moved along a covering direction (Z), so that the panels (1) which compose the group (50) are able to rotate relative to each other with respect to a main direction (X) orthogonal to the covering direction (Z), so that a row of panels is constructed.

Floor Matting
20170295977 · 2017-10-19 ·

Reversible floor mats having two layers bonded together at an undulating surface are described. Each layer has a generally non-constant across over its width and length. The combined thickness of the two layers is generally constant over its width and length. The layers have different colors and/or different surface textures to provide different working surfaces.

SAFETY SURFACE WITH ENGINEERED SHOCK-ABSORBING BASE
20170226707 · 2017-08-10 ·

A safety surface with an engineered shock-absorbing base. The base may include one or more engineered resilient mats. The mats may be fabricated of repurposed tire rubber. The mats may be adjoined edgewise. Adjoined mats may be coupled together. The base may overlay a surface. The base may include upward-facing pockets. Interiors of the pockets may receive loose fill. An upper layer may cover the base. The upper layer may bond to the base. The upper layer may seal the loose fill within the safety surface. The upper layer may include poured-in-place surfacing. The upper layer may be textured. The upper layer may include synthetic turf. Impact upon the upper layer may be attenuated by flexion of the base. Mats may be coupled without hardware fasteners. Exterior surfaces of pockets of one mat may be nested into complementarily contoured features of an adjoining mat.

FASTENING SYSTEM
20170275891 · 2017-09-28 ·

A fastening system comprises a fastening mechanism having a transition member and a ramp member. The transition member has a lower planar element, and an upper planar element, and a central portion disposed therebetween. The ramp member has a lower planar component, a first upper planar component, a forwardly angled component disposed between the lower planar component and the first upper planar component, and a backwardly angled component extending outwardly from the first upper planar component. The ramp member upper planar component is disposed above the transition member upper planar element, and the transition member lower planar element is at least partially disposed above the ramp member lower planar member.
