Salt spreader attachable to earth moving equipment
A salt spreader for distributing a material includes a bucket including a front surface, a rear surface, and first and second side surfaces. The front and rear surfaces tend toward one another at a base of the bucket, and the bucket includes first and second ejection ports in the base. The salt spreader further includes a separator positioned in a center of the bucket parallel to the first and second side surfaces, first and second spinner mounts attached to the base of the bucket under the first and second ejection ports, respectively, first and second spinners rotatably mounted atop of the first and second spinner mounts, respectively, an auger positioned adjacent to the base of the bucket, and first and second covers within the bucket extending downwardly from the first and second side surfaces, respectively, toward the separator.

A soil working roller for a soil processing machine, in particular a soil compactor, comprising a roller shell (44) extending longitudinally in a direction of a roller axis of rotation (D) and delimiting a roller interior (26), at least one ballast unit (46, 48) arranged in the roller interior (26), characterized in that each ballast unit (46, 48) comprises at least one ballast element (54) supported with respect of the roller shell (24) by means of an elastic suspension assembly (58), wherein the at least one ballast element (54) is permanently coupled to the roller shell (24) by the suspension assembly (58) and is movable with respect to the roller shell in the radial direction, axial direction, and circumferential direction, and/or a plurality of ballast units (46, 48) is provided in the roller interior (26) arranged in series in the circumferential direction, wherein each ballast unit (46, 48) comprises at least one ballast element supported with respect to the roller shell (24) by means of an elastic suspension assembly (58).

A vehicle mounted spreader for spreading materials such as sand, salt, or other granular chemicals onto snow and ice covered paved surfaces comprises a material container for containing the material to be spread, a liquid container for containing liquid with which to pre-wet the material, a spinner for spreading the pre-wet material, an auger for conveying the material to the spinner, a liquid applicator for applying liquid to the material to pre-wet the material, and a paddle mixer mounted to an end of the auger adjacent the liquid applicator for mixing the liquid and the material.

A sand spreading system for a rail vehicle with driveable and/or brakeable rail wheels. The sand spreading system includes a sand box for storing spreading sand, a sand staircase which is fastened to the sand box for the compressed-air-controlled metering of the output of spreading sand, and a sand outlet tube which is connected to the sand staircase via a sand hose and opens in front of a rail wheel. By a heating device for generating a hot air flow passing through the spreading sand being integrated in the sand staircase, the spreading sand can be kept dry and pourable even in the wet and frost, and therefore the function of the sand staircase and hence the effective operation of the rail vehicle are assured.
