A concrete float, float assembly, float adapter and interface, and vibration apparatus and methods are described. A vibration assembly has at least first and second interface components, and for example one interface component can join with an interface component on a pivot assembly and another interface component can join with an interface component on a finishing tool. An interface such as may be included in a quick attach/release configuration may be integrated on vibration apparatus and/or on a pivot assembly for quick attach/release of a joining component. A vibration assembly may include a load transmission or transfer component for transferring a load through the vibration assembly. A pivot assembly may include first and second interface components.

A tamp having replaceable tamp plates which, when operatively coupled to a tamp handle, can rotate relative to the tamp handle, or a longitudinal axis of the tamp handle, when in use to better allow a tamp plate surface to conform to the material being tamped, while allowing the handle to be more easily maintained in an orientation desired by the user and while reducing or absorbing shock. The tamp may also include “dead blow” material such as steel shot or the like to improve the inertia, efficiency and impact of the tamp as it is being utilized, while reducing recoil effects.

A method of using the vibrating float tool to level and settle a semi-liquid construction substrate, comprising activating the enclosed vibrating component with the switch, applying the float pad of the vibrating float tool across the semi-liquid construction substrate, leveling the surface of the semi-liquid construction substrate and setting the semi-liquid construction substrate.
