METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING A CONCRETE CURB OR SIMILAR STRUCTURE USING A WOOD FORM CONSTRUCTION ARRANGEMENT
In construction, concrete curbs are constructed using a form construction arrangement, usually made of wood or metal or a combination of wood and metal components. The form arrangement sets the general boundaries of the curb, much like a mold. The pourable concrete, which can be in a semi-solid state or be a slurry, is poured into the form arrangement. Once the pourable concrete has reached a sufficiently solid state, the form arrangement is removed and the curb is finished. In general, wood form arrangements always require metal pins or stakes for reinforcement of the wood boards that hold and shape the concrete. The present application describes a method of constructing a concrete curb or similar structure using a wood form construction arrangement that includes a bracket device that obviates the need for metal pins, or at least reduces the number of metal pins required to a very minimal amount.
LEG ASSEMBLY FOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINE
A leg assembly includes a guide tube, a power drive coupled to a flange of the guide tube, a steering ring coupled to the power drive, a tube weldment coupled to the steering ring, and a hydraulic actuator coupled within the guide tube and within the tube weldment. The power drive includes a slew drive or a hydraulic cylinder steering assembly. The tube weldment is translated through the power drive by the actuator. The steering ring includes one or more pistons by which relative rotational movements may be imparted to the tube weldment by a socketing action. The steering ring is rotated by the power drive. Thus, the guide tube may be rotated relative to the tube weldment.
RAMP-RESISTANCE BEAM FOR DELIMITING A LENGTH OF A FORMED ROAD SURFACE AND THE USE OF THE RAMP-RESISTANCE BEAM
A ramp-resistance beam for delimiting a length of a formed road surface, transversely across the road surface, provided with a rear vertical wall for delimiting the front end vertical periphery of the road surface, and with an opposite front part of the beam having a sloped wall that defines a ramp of the beam. The ramp-resistance beam consists of a longitudinal base plate (1) and, optionally, of at least one overlay plate (1a, 1b) stacked onto the base plate (1), the base plate (1) and the overlay plate(s) (1a, 1b), if present, having, approximately, a right trapezoidal cross-section, and, moreover, the base plate (1) consists of rectangular serially arranged segments (8, 9), the side walls (7) of which are adjacent to each other and are fastened to each other by means of separable horizontal joints (11, 16, 19).
Prefabricated mold for constructing curbs
A prefabricated form for use in constructing a casting cured concrete curb having a plurality of engaging pieces in which adjacent engaging pieces are abutted. Each of the engaging pieces has a fixing rod insertion hole formed therein. A plurality of spacer insertion holes are formed longitudinally and aligned respectively with the fixing rod insertion holes. The plurality of plate-shaped lower spacers are received respectively of the plurality of spacer insertion holes. Fixing rods are respectively inserted into the fixing rod insertion hole so as to engage the plate-shaped lower spacers. A plurality of upper spacers are engaged with the upper ends of the fixing rods so as to fix the engaging pieces in spaced relation to each other.
Bridge paving device
A bridge paving device includes one or more reference receivers to locate the bridge paving device in three-dimensional space. A computer apparatus receives the location of the bridge paving device and associates the location with a bridge paving design profile. The computer apparatus independently actuates a system of hydraulic actuators of the bridge paving device to level and orient the bridge paving device regardless of the travel surface the linear movement elements are running on. Additional hydraulic actuators may adjust the shape of the bridge paving device over time as the bridge paving device travels a linear distance of the bridge to be paved. The shape adjustment alters a crown or inversion applied to the bridge such that run-off characteristics are more variable and controllable along the entire span of the bridge.
ASSEMBLY FOR CLAMPING FORMWORK
An assembly for clamping formwork boards for forming an elongate slab having a lower base and an upper shaped gutter, includes first and second posts to be disposed on opposite sides of the slab to be formed. There is a formwork board clamping device for mounting to the posts, having jaws, the jaws including a first jaw mounted to the first post for retaining a first formwork board that forms a first side of the slab, and a second jaw mounted to the second post for retaining a second formwork board the forms a second side of the slab and a second side of the gutter. The second jaw has a post mount for a third board holder. The third board holder extends from the second jaw for retaining a third formwork board to be held over the slab to be formed that forms a first side of the gutter.
Cement Form With Extension
A cement form assembly includes cement and a cement form. The cement form can include a ground facing surface extending horizontally on a ground support surface and a cement facing surface extending vertically and contacting the cement. An extension member extends outward from the cement form and includes a surface that extends the ground facing surface or the cement facing surface. The cement form and the extension member are each made, at least partially, of a foam material.
CURB FORMER
A curb former (10) is disclosed, and includes a rotatable drive shaft (20), a gutter drum (80), and a curb profiling drum (100). The gutter drum (80) is secured to the drive shaft (20) such that the drive shaft (20) and gutter drum (80) rotate together. The curb profiling drum (100) is detachably secured relative to both the drive shaft (20) and the gutter drum (80). This configuration allows one curb profiling drum (100) to be replaced with another curb profiling drum (100) to change the profile of a curb resulting from a curbing operation using the curb former (10).
TRENCH FORM MOUNTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a trench former assembly and a method of constructing a trench using the trench former assembly. Typically, the trench former assembly comprises a forming member and a corresponding retention and removal system. The forming member is structured to facilitate forming the trench, while the retention and removal system is structured to suspend the forming member and support the forming member against displacement and rotation during forming of the trench. Embodiments of the invention are also directed to a dual-pour type trench former assembly for forming a multi-layer trench.
Form bracket for concrete panel form
A form bracket for supporting a wall of a concrete panel form at a casting slab includes a first planar member having a lower surface configured to engage a casting slab. A second planar member is coupled with the first planar member. The second planar member has a front surface disposed perpendicular to the lower surface of the first planar member and configured to engage a wall of a concrete panel form. In some implementations, the first and second planar members have different dimensions so as to be capable of being reoriented to accommodate different sized walls. A pair of support members extend between an upper portion of the first planar member and a rear portion of the second planar member. The pair of support members are spaced apart to define a void that is configured to matably receive a second form bracket in a stacked arrangement.
