The beam members 12 are disposed in parallel with the direction of travel of the screed as the axial direction. A longitudinal groove 20 is formed by the beam members 12 pressing into a leveled face when leveling a pavement face and moving in the direction of travel for leveling while the beam members are being pressed down.
