An Adjustable Screed Assembly
There is provided an adjustable screed assembly suitable for mounting to a frame of a paver, the screed assembly comprising a mounting member, the mounting member having a first end and a second end, the mounting member including at least one elongate aperture passing through the mounting member and extending along the mounting member in a direction from the first end to the second end, the mounting member being pivotally connected to the frame at or proximate to the first end and being slidingly connected to a screed arm through the at least one elongate aperture, wherein the screed plate is moveable relative to the mounting member along the direction from the first end to the second end.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SCREED EXTENDER OF PAVING MACHINE
A system, apparatus, and method can control one or more screed extensions or extenders of a paving machine. Such control can include identifying a location of an undesirable surface condition of a mat paved on a base by the paving machine using data from one or more sensors associated with a screed extension; characterizing the undesirable surface condition of the mat; and adjusting a height and/or an angle of attack of an extension plate of the screed extension to prevent future occurrences of the undesirable surface condition responsive to the identification and characterization of the undesirable surface condition. The location of the undesirable surface condition can represent a start of the undesirable surface condition in a transverse direction of the paving machine and can be associated with either an interface between the screed extension and a main screed or outward of the interface, along a length of the extension plate of the screed extension.
END GATE STOWAGE APPARATUS FOR SCREED OF A PAVER
According to one example, a screed assembly for a paver is disclosed. The screed assembly can include an end gate, a screed extender and a stowage apparatus. The screed extender can be selectively connected to the end gate via a first one or more quick attachment mechanisms. When connected, the screed extender can be configured to operably position the end gate relative to a main screed. The stowage apparatus can have a second one or more quick attachment mechanisms for selectively coupling the stowage apparatus to the end gate. The stowage apparatus can be movable from a first position for transportation of the paver where the end gate is coupled to the stowage apparatus and the end gate is positioned behind the main screed to a second position during operation of the paver where the end gate is decoupled from the stowage apparatus and the stowage apparatus is positioned adjacent the main screed
AUTOMATED MECHANICAL SYSTEM TO POSITION SCREED AT STARTING PAVING DEPTH
A paving machine can include a frame; a screed coupled to the frame, the screed including one or more screed plates; one or more movable extender mechanisms located at a back end of each screed plate and configured to extend and retract up and down beneath the screed plate; and a controller configured to extend the one or more extender mechanisms a pre-determined distance before the screed begins a paving operation and to retract the one or more extender mechanisms after the screed has begun the paving operation.
Limiting plate of a road paver
A limiting plate of a road paver is detachably attached to a traverse or to a chassis of the road paver to increase the basic working width. The limiting plate is arranged with variable spacing to a subgrade. In order to prevent a mix from flowing forwards in a direction of travel and at the same time improve the efficiency of a screw conveyor, in which a geometrically defined screw trough is formed, a limiting plate extension is arranged on the limiting plate so that it can be adjusted, particularly in the direction of the subgrade.
Adjustable control point for asphalt paver
Systems and methods for controlling a construction machine, such as an asphalt paver, having a tractor, an implement coupled to the tractor via at least one tow arm, and a mast. A position sensor mounted to the mast may detect a geospatial position of the mast. An angle sensor may detect at least one angle associated with the mast. A control point may be calculated based on the geospatial position and the at least one angle. The control point may be spatially offset from a vector formed by a lengthwise extension of the mast. The at least one tow arm may be moved based on a comparison between the control point and a target point.
Placer spreader with adjustable strike off
A strike off assembly for a placer spreader apparatus includes a strike off support beam and left and right side plate assemblies attached to ends of the support beam. A strike off plate assembly includes a left strike off plate portion and a right strike off plate portion pivotably connected together. A plurality of strike off actuators are connected to the strike off plate assembly and configured to raise and lower the strike off plate assembly relative to the support beam to vary a height of a material placement space.
Container for a road paver assembly
The disclosure refers to a container for storing and providing at least one modular road paver assembly designed for detachable mounting on a road paver. The container comprises a storage system by means of which individual components of the road paver assembly can be positioned within the container in a standardized arrangement, such that the components of the road paver assembly can be checked for completeness by an operator by means of a visual inspection along a sequence determined between opposite boundaries of the container in view of their assembly sequence on the road paver.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A SCREED EXTENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
A screed extension control system adapted for use on a screed assembly having a main screed, a main screed contact surface, a screed extension, and a screed extension contact surface. The screed extension control system comprises a slope actuator, a height actuator, at least one sensor, and a controller that is adapted to receive feedback from the at least one sensor. A virtual pivot point location is defined by a position where the main screed contact surface and the screed extension contact surface intersect. The controller causes at least one of the slope actuator and the height actuator to move between an extended position and a retracted position to control the position of the virtual pivot point location along the length of the main screed. A method for adjusting the screed extension position relative to the main screed.
Control system for a paving machine
A paving system includes a paving machine and a controller. The paving machine includes a drive assembly, a paving material delivery system, including a hopper, a conveyor assembly, an auger, and a screed assembly, and at least one material sensor configured to monitor a delivery of paving material from the hopper to the auger by the conveyor assembly. The controller is coupled to the at least one material sensor and the conveyor assembly to control the delivery of paving material from the hopper to a ground surface.
