HYDRAULIC FLOW TUBES
A paving machine includes a mold coupled to a telescopic frame member, by which the mold side-shifts relative to a main frame. A tight clearance between the paving machine and a surface being paved may be achieved by the ability to side-shift the mold. The paving machine may also include a number of vibrator motors. A flow to the vibrator motors may be controllable by a manifold controller. The manifold controller is located on an end of the telescopic frame member. By locating the manifold controller on the telescopic frame member, an operator of the paving machine may both stand on the telescopic frame member to watch the paving mold and adjust the settings of the vibrator controller. This is advantageous in allowing the operator to achieve proper concrete consolidation by visual feedback without leaving the telescopic frame member.
Adjustable width mold
An adjustable width mold apparatus for a slipform paver includes a center portion and left and right sideform assemblies. The center portion has left and right lateral ends. Left and right adjustable width support assemblies are connected between the sideform assemblies and the center portion. One or more spacers may be received between each sideform assembly and the center portion to adjust the width of the mold apparatus. The spacers may be hung on a plurality of hanger rods. Each of the hanger rods may have a hydraulic nut on one end thereof for clamping the spacers between the sideform assembly and the center portion.
Adjustable wear sole
A mold apparatus for a slipform paver includes front and rear frame members and a wear plate disposed below the front and rear frame members. At least one of the frame members includes a mounting flange. At least one adjustable fastener assembly is provided between the wear plate and the mounting flange. An adjusting nut drive may be either manually powered or automatically powered and provides access to the adjustable fastener assemblies from the interior of the mold apparatus.
Slipform paver and method for operating a slipform paver
A slipform paver comprises a machine frame carried by rolling assemblies, at least two of which being drivable and at least one being steerable, as well as comprising a support arranged on the machine frame for a slipform mould and a controller for controlling the rolling assemblies to adjust the velocities of the drivable rolling assemblies and the steering angles of the one or more steerable rolling assemblies. The controller is configured such that, when the steering angles of the one or more steerable rolling assemblies change, the velocities of the drivable rolling assemblies are adjusted so as to reduce the change in the velocity at which a reference point referring to the support for the slipform mould will move along a predefined trajectory, said change in velocity being caused by changing the steering angle. The quality of the concrete profile produced by the slipform paver is thereby improved.
Shiftable mold
An inset slip form paving apparatus includes a frame having a front and a rear defining a paving direction. At least one left ground engaging support and at least one right ground engaging support support the frame from a ground surface. An inset mold assembly is located below the frame and between the left and right ground engaging supports. An adjustable support assembly supports the mold assembly from the frame so that the mold assembly is adjustable in position in the paving direction relative to the frame between a retracted position and an extended position.
SLIPFORM PAVER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A SLIPFORM PAVER
The invention relates to a slipform paver and a method for operating a slipform paver. The slipform paver 1 according to the invention comprises a machine frame 3 carried by rolling assemblies 7, 8, 10, 11, at least two of said rolling assemblies being drivable and at least one rolling assembly being steerable, as well as comprising a support 17 arranged on the machine frame 3 for a slipform mould 18 and a control unit 21 for controlling the rolling assemblies so as to adjust the velocities of the drivable rolling assemblies and the steering angle of the one steerable rolling assembly, or the steering angles of the steerable rolling assemblies. The control unit 21 is configured such that, when the steering angle of the one steerable rolling assembly changes or the steering angles of the steerable rolling assemblies change, the velocities (v.sub.LVO, v.sub.LHI, v.sub.RVO, v.sub.RHI ) of the drivable rolling assemblies (7, 8, 10, 11) are adjusted so as to reduce the change in the velocity (v.sub.G) at which a reference point (G) referring to the support (17) for the slipform mould (18) will move along a predefined trajectory (T), said change in velocity being caused by changing the steering angle. The quality of the concrete profile produced by the slipform paver is improved as a result.
Machine for realizing pavements
Device for realizing surfacing, in general, realizing surfaces that differ in nature, and more especially for realizing concrete pavements. In particular, it concerns a machine for realizing concrete roads, more especially a type of machine where work can be done without lateral formwork, in such way that after the machine has passed, the road is completely finished and that one only has to wait for the concrete to set and possibly seal the expansion joints before commissioning the road.
Variable width automatic transition
A system for automatically varying the mold width and thus the paving width of a molded concrete slab on the fly as the slab is being molded. An external stringline reference is used to control the height and direction of a first side of the paving machine. A slope sensor is used for automatic control of the height of the second side of the machine frame. A starting point signal generator provides a signal to initiate the automatic width transition. A controller controls width actuators for controlled variation of the mold width in response to the starting signal and a pre-programmed function of the controller.
