A road striping removal and particulate capturing combination system includes a chassis having a front end and a rear end. A plurality of wheels is rotatably coupled to the chassis and extends downwardly therefrom. The chassis includes an open bottomed housing having an upper wall and a perimeter wall that is attached to and extends downwardly from the upper wall. A particulate conduit extends through the upper wall. A particulate nozzle is fluidly coupled to the particulate conduit. The particulate conduit delivers particulate under pressure to the nozzle such that the particulate is ejected from the nozzle toward road striping as the striping passes under the upper wall. A vacuum conduit is fluidly coupled to an interior space bounded by the housing. The vacuum conduit is fluidly coupled to a vacuum to suction the particulate after the particulate has struck the road surface.

If the implement comprises a crack routing cutter drum, a plurality of peripherally spaced cutter wheel assemblies may be mounted between disks of the cutter drum, each cutter wheel assembly including a pin and first and second bushings that support the pin on the disks and that are removably inserted into respective bores in the disks. Machine steering and propulsion and implement operation may all be effected hydraulically.

The method has reduced dust, in particular asbestos fibre dust, an additive being added to the water in order to form an aqueous composition for agglomerating the dust with the planings produced in order to form aggregates, the rotation of the tool causing a mixing of the planings, the dust and the water with additive, the aqueous composition being selected alone or in a chemically compatible combination with: a bitumen emulsion, a bitumen foam, an aqueous solution including mineral and/or organic fillers. The application also relates to a mobile planing machine.

A ventilation system and method for a cold planer are provided. The ventilation system includes a settling box inside a water tank. The settling box includes a body. The body includes at least one sidewall defining an air inlet having a first cross-section to accept dust and fumes generated by a milling drum operation of the cold planer but to reject particles from the milling drum operation at or above a predetermined size. The settling box further includes an air outlet having a second cross-section less than the first cross-section of the air inlet. The ventilation system further includes an outlet pipe connected to the air outlet, a fan and a cleaning system. The fan is configured to pull air from below the air inlet into the settling box, through the air outlet and to the outlet pipe.
