SECURITY BARRIER WITH COVERING AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION THEREOF
The invention relates to a security barrier (10, 40, 60, 82), and a method (100) of installation thereof, and in particular, although not exclusively, to the installation thereof to a bridge structure (70). The security barrier (10, 40, 60, 82) comprises a support (12 62, 72) having at least one upright barrier member (14, 64, 85) thereon. The support (12, 62, 72) is for positioning substantially at ground level (41, 69, 72) and has a portion that is substantially planar with a leading edge (29). The at least one barrier member (14, 64, 85) is at the leading edge (29) or adjacent to the leading edge (29). The portion is for receiving a covering (75) thereon for adding mass to the security barrier (10, 40, 60, 82) and for biasing it towards the ground level (41, 69, 72). Two adjacent security barriers (10, 40, 60, 82) can be secured to each other with a joining member (200) to connect two adjacent barrier members (14) of the two adjacent security barriers (10, 40, 60, 82). The barrier member (10, 40, 60, 82) and the joining member (200) are for inhibiting the passage of a vehicle in the event of an impact force therefrom being exerted on the at least one barrier member (14, 64, 85) and/or the joining member (200).
SHUTOFF APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a barrier apparatus for arrangement on a subsurface. The barrier apparatus includes an at least substantially tubular hollow part that defines a longitudinal direction of the barrier apparatus, an actuating element that is arranged at a first free end of the hollow part and is movable relative to the hollow part between a loose position and an anchored position, a mechanical anchoring mechanism that is arranged opposite the actuating element in relation to the longitudinal direction and includes a movable bolt element, a movably mounted actuating rod that is fixed to the actuating element, extends in the longitudinal direction, is arranged in the hollow part and is mechanically coupled to the anchoring mechanism, and a barrier system.
Stanchion apparatus for umbrella and crowd control rope line
A cylindrical two-piece pole stand assembly that automatically locks together upon insertion of a pole is disclosed which has a permanently set in-ground sleeve base formed of a length of tubing with a top end and a bottom end. A crowd control and umbrella stanchion made from a length of tubing has an outside surface with a diameter that allows for a sliding fit into or onto the sleeve. The crowd control and umbrella stanchion includes a locking mechanism for locking the crowd control and umbrella stanchion to the sleeve base. The crowd control and umbrella stanchion has a pair of upper loops welded on opposite sides of an upper portion of the crowd control and umbrella stanchion which provides a single stanchion upright which allows for the attachment of crowd control ropes or chains and also provides for the insertion of an umbrella pole to allow for an umbrella to be secured in the same location as said stanchion uprights.
Shallow-mount, stand-alone security bollard
A shallow-mount, stand-alone security bollard includes a bollard post mounted to a base. The bollard post extends upwardly from within an interior space of the base. The base includes interconnected panels, including panels extending around the interior space of the base, and inner panels connected to the bollard post and dividing the interior space.
BOLLARD HAVING AN ACCESS-DENIAL AND A CONNECTED FUNCTION
The invention relates to a concrete access-denial bollard (1) for preventing access to vehicles, characterized in that it comprises means for wireless remote communication, in particular for connecting to an Internet network.
POLE SUPPORT
There is disclosed a pole support for removably supporting a hollow tubular pole, wherein the pole has a latching recess provided along its length. The pole support includes a housing defining a socket that is open at its operative upper end for receiving the pole. A latch is located within the socket and is mounted on a pivot to be pivotally movable between a latched position and an unlatched position. The latch has a latching arm extending on one side of the pivot and a ballast arm extending on an opposed side of the pivot, wherein a centre-of-weight of the latch is located off-centre from the pivot in the ballast arm so that ballast arm normally biases latch under gravity into its latched position.
Twist and lock removable bollard
A bollard assembly includes a post including at least one locking flange or pin and a cooperating base defining a post receiver. The base includes at least one interior wall including at least one cooperating locking groove dimensioned and configured to receive an end of the at least one locking flange or pin. The at least one cooperating locking groove includes at least one portion defining a substantially vertical pathway and at least one intersecting portion defining a substantially horizontal pathway. The at least one cooperating locking groove may defined by a top portion and a bottom portion each defining a substantially vertical pathway, and an intersecting intermediate portion defining a plane oriented substantially perpendicularly to the top portion and the bottom portion.
DEVICE, METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING PARKING IN A NO PARKING AREA
A parking enforcement device can be secured to a surface adjacent to the area designated as NO PARKING. The enforcement device can include a camera aimed towards the area designated as NO PARKING and monitor this area for the entry of a vehicle. A parking violation is determined to have occurred upon determining that the vehicle has entered the area designated as NO PARKING, and image data of the entry of a vehicle into the NO PARKING area that was captured by the camera can be relayed to a remote computing system. The parking enforcement device can be provided as a bollard that includes a camera secured to a center pole extending vertically upwards inside of the bollard. The camera can be located along the center pole so that the camera views outward from the bollard via a window section of the bollard.
System, method and apparatus for securing a traffic delineator
A delineator mounting system that includes an octagonal mounting apparatus for mating a traffic delineator to an in-ground mount. According to a first preferred embodiment, an exemplary delineator mounting system of the present invention includes an extended central housing having a lower end with an octagonal outer surface, an octagonal inner surface and a flared lower connecting surface. According to a further preferred embodiment, the extended central housing further includes an upper end having a cylindrical main body which includes an upper end exterior surface, an upper end interior surface, and a flared upper connecting surface.
Top-locking bollard
A lockable bollard to be anchored into the ground includes a substantially vertical post that is rectangular in cross section, with a base having a base fastening structure extending downwardly to be anchored into the ground to which the post is to be anchored. A control shaft extends substantially the entire length of the post, the control shaft having an operating handle adjacent a top end and having a lower engagement feature adjacent a bottom end designed to selectively engage the base when the shaft is in a predetermined position. A closure is disposed adjacent the top of the post to permit selective access to the operating handle.
