Surrogate for concrete curb
Surrogates for roadside objects, such as concrete curbs, can be used for vehicle testing. A surrogate for a concrete curb can substantially be similar in size and/or shape as the concrete curb that the surrogate is mimicking. The surrogate can be configured to exhibit substantially the same characteristics as their actual counterpart concrete curb when sensed by one or more vehicle sensors (e.g., cameras, radar sensors, and/or LIDAR sensors). Such surrogates can be used to test automated vehicles, one or more vehicle sensors, a vehicle sensor system, and/or one or more vehicle system (e.g., a road departure mitigation system). The surrogates can be configured to withstand being impacted by a test vehicle without being damaged and without damaging the test vehicle.

A one-piece plastic z-based foundation suitable for guardrails, ground based solar panel arrays and other structures includes a longitudinally extending main body; a rear flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the main body in a first direction at a rear edge of the main body; a front flange extending at an angle from a longitudinal portion of the main body in a direction opposite the first direction at a front edge of the main body; an integral offset spacing plate coupled to a front edge of the main body above the front flange and extending laterally forward of the front flange; and a mounting flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the offset spacing plate at a front edge of the offset spacing plate, wherein the mounting flange is configured for mounting of a guardrail or other structure.
Barrier with cable system
A protective barrier includes a first end piece including a first opening and a first anchoring member for securing the first end piece to a surface, a second end piece including a second opening and a second anchoring member for securing the second end piece to the surface, a rail extending between the first end piece and the second end piece, the rail having a first end disposed in the first opening of the first end piece and a second end disposed in the second opening of the second end piece, and a cable system including a first fastener coupled to the first anchoring member, a second fastener coupled to the second anchoring member, and a cable having a first end attached to the first fastener and a second attached to the second fastener, the cable extending from the first fastener, through the first opening, through the rail, through the second opening, and to the second fastener.
MACHINE FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF POLES INTO THE GROUND, PARTICULARLY FOR THE REINFORCEMENT OF SAFETY BARRIERS
A machine for the introduction of poles into the ground, particularly for the reinforcement of safety barriers. The machine including one movement assembly for the movement of the machine at the point where one safety barrier to be reinforced is located; one insertion assembly associated movable with the movement assembly and adapted to introduce at least partly into the ground one reinforcement pole at the point where the safety barrier is located; positioning device/component/unit (or the like) associated with the movement assembly and adapted to position the insertion assembly between: one home position, wherein it approaches the movement assembly; one operating position, wherein it is located beyond the safety barrier; and one insertion position, wherein it is tilted by an angle of insertion for the introduction of the reinforcement pole at the point where the safety barrier is located.
Vertical member for a vehicle restraint system
A vertical member for a vehicle restraint system is intended for attaching a guard rail of the vehicle restraint system. The vertical member includes a profiled support and a reinforcing support within the profiled support, and the longitudinal axis of the reinforcing support runs substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profiled support.
STRAPPING APPARATUS
A strapping apparatus for coupling an article to a post, the apparatus including a post adapter including a first side configured to engage with the post and a second side comprising a recess; a retaining element at least partially located in the recess of the post adapter; and a strap configured to extend around the post, the strap including: a first end configured to be removably coupled to post adapter; and a second end configured to be received in the retaining element.
Transition barrier for connecting a permanent barrier to a temporary barrier
A transition barrier for transitioning from a permanent median barrier to a temporary median barrier, the transition barrier having: a) a first end; the first end being connectable to the permanent median barrier by a permanent median barrier connector; b) a second end; the second end being connectable to the temporary median barrier by a temporary median barrier connector; c) a transition section defining a transition wall of a predetermined length between the first end and the second end; the transition wall having a top, bottom, front and a back; d) at least one barrier brace proximate the transition wall, for supporting said transition wall; and e) at least one spacer, proximate the back of the transition wall for contact with a surface of the permanent concrete barrier.
EMBANKMENT WALL STRUCTURE OF MONOLITHIC FACING PANELS, CHANGER PANELS, STANDARD FACING PANELS AND SAID PANELS THEREOF
The present invention provides an embankment wall structure (1000) comprising a plurality of facing panels (100) extending upwardly from a support surface and adapted to be stacked alongside in a horizontal as well as vertical direction. The plurality of facing panels (100) includes a plurality of monolithic facing panels (120), a plurality of first changer panels (140), a plurality of second changer panels (160), and a plurality of standard facing panels (180). Each monolithic facing panel (120) is stacked side by side with each first changer panel (140) at a desired stretch, and each second changer panel (160) is stacked adjacent to one monolithic facing panel (120) and opposite to one first changer panel (140), at a desired position in a top layer (200) of the wall (1000). Further, each of the uppermost standard facing panels (180) is in contact with either of the panels or combinations thereof.
GUARDRAIL TERMINAL
Guardrail, guardrail terminal, and support post designs that improve control of a vehicle during collisions are described. The disclosed designs also reduce the likelihood of intrusion into vehicle systems and the occupant compartment(s). Embodiments include folding and/or flattening of the guardrail and controlling the folded and flattened guardrail to avoid intrusion into the vehicle. Other embodiments include containing the guardrail in an impact head of a guardrail terminal, which also avoids vehicle intrusion.
