TEMPORARY FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT MARKERS
20180002877 · 2018-01-04 ·

A temporary flexible pavement marker comprising a base, a stand and a protective shield wherein at least part of the stand is reflective and the protective shield is configured to prevent materials sprayed down upon the temporary flexible pavement marker from obscuring the reflective part of the stand may be employed in the construction or repair of roads. Since the protective shield prevents asphalt from obscuring the reflective part of the stand during spraying operations there is no need for a technician to remove a protective layer from the markers after a spraying operation.

Parking Lot Striping Method and Installation
20180010307 · 2018-01-11 ·

A method for delineating parking stalls on a parking lot surface includes providing lengths of webbing and a plurality of stake assemblies. The method proceeds by arranging the lengths of webbing in a desired pattern on the parking lot surface that delineates parking stalls, preferably stretching them lengthwise, and then driving stake assemblies through holes in the webbing and into the underlying body of material in order to secure the webbing on the parking lot surface. A parking lot installation constructed according to the invention includes a plurality of lengths of webbing that have been arranged and secured as stated above. The method is not limited to parking lots and parking stall delineation, as it can be used to mark a boundary or delineate a space for other purposes.

Road Stud

Described is a road stud that can be provided at regular intervals on the surface of a road, such as the center line, edge, or branch line of a roadway. The road studs enable drivers to easily and visually identify lanes and to recognize lane departures or lane invasions through the sensation of vibration or auditory sensation of sound.

MAGNETIC MARKER AND MAGNETIC MARKER USING METHOD

A magnetic marker (1) to be laid on a traveling road where a vehicle travels includes a circular sheet-shaped magnet sheet (10), which is a magnet as a magnetism generation source, having a diameter of 100 mm, and a reflective sheet (15) forming a reflecting part which retroreflects laser light from a lidar unit mounted on the vehicle and is laminated on a surface of magnet sheet (10). Since the magnetic marker is detectable not only magnetically by a magnetic sensor but also by a lidar unit using laser light, the magnetic marker is easily detected compared with a general magnetic marker that is detectable only magnetically.

Temporary flexible pavement markers

A temporary flexible pavement marker comprising a base, a stand and a protective shield wherein at least part of the stand is reflective and the protective shield is configured to prevent materials sprayed down upon the temporary flexible pavement marker from obscuring the reflective part of the stand may be employed in the construction or repair of roads. Since the protective shield prevents asphalt from obscuring the reflective part of the stand during spraying operations there is no need for removal of a protective layer from the markers after a spraying operation.

Retroreflective traffic stripe 1,000X brighter than the current state of the art

This invention is a novel retroreflective traffic stripe comprising a widely spaced repeating pattern of linear light turning prisms over cube corner retroreflective prisms in a critical optimal configuration. The light turning prisms comprise at least two exposed surfaces, one approximately vertical facing the headlights of oncoming traffic, and another opposing the first and sloped by approximately 45 degrees. The approximately vertical surface efficiently accepts light from the headlights and transmits such light to the sloped surface which totally internally reflects such light downward onto an array of cube corner retroreflective prisms, which totally internally reflect such light in approximately the reverse direction. Such reflected light once more encounters the sloped face of the light turning prisms which totally internally reflects the light toward the approximately vertical surface, where such light exits and returns toward the headlights and, more importantly, toward the eyes of the driver of the vehicle.

An apparatus includes a pavement marker configured to be mounted to a road at a lane line of a lane at known orientation with respect to the lane line; and an RF device carried by the raised pavement marker. The RF device is configured to transmit a directional RF navigation signal and it is positioned relative to the known orientation to transmit the signal across the lane in a direction that is substantially normal to the lane line.

Cover for a Concrete Parking Block
20170298582 · 2017-10-19 ·

A cover for a concrete parking block has a first lateral end, second lateral end and a longitudinal enclosure. The first lateral end and the second lateral end can be either open or closed. The longitudinal enclosure is the same length as the concrete parking block. The protective cover can be made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), Acrylonitrile Butadiene styrene (ABS) or foam and resin. The protective cover can also be used to as a bicycle stand. In doing so, the bicycle wheels are inserted into V-shaped slots of the longitudinal enclosure. A water bladder is attached to the protective cover when used as a bicycle stand. A reflective coating is applied on the exterior of the protective cover in order to provide more visibility during low light conditions.
