Method of securing and transferring a load between a vessel and an offshore installation and an apparatus therefor
The offshore jack-up has a hull and a plurality of moveable legs engageable with the seafloor. The offshore jack-up is arranged to move the legs with respect to the hull to position the hull out of the water. The method comprises moving at least a portion of a vessel underneath the hull of the offshore jack-up or within a cut-out of the hull when the hull is positioned out of the water and the legs engage the seafloor. A stabilizing mechanism mounted on the jack-up is engaged against the vessel. The stabilizing mechanism is pushed down on the vessel to increase the buoyant force acting on the vessel.

System and method for dynamically balancing loads on legs supporting a jack up rig platform
A system is disclosed including but not limited to a a jack up processor in data communication with each for dynamically balancing loads in real time on a plurality of legs supporting a jack up rig platform having a plurality of gear box motors on the plurality of legs. A processor reads data from sensors on gear box motors on the legs and selects a stored torque profile from a computer readable medium based on the load data from the sensors; and sends the torque profile to the plurality of gearboxes. A computer readable medium and neural network are disclosed for dynamically balancing loads on the plurality of legs in real time.
Arctic jackup truss leg
An arctic jackup truss leg comprises a plurality of chords, an outer bracing network with a plurality of bracing elements connecting the plurality of chords, an internal bracing network with a plurality of bracing elements, and a bridge plate network with a plurality of bridge plates, wherein each bridge plate has two ends that are coupled with the bracing elements of the outer bracing network and the internal bracing network respectively.
Operations Vessel for the Maintenance, Installation and/or Disassembly of Offshore Structures
The invention relates to an operations vessel for the maintenance, installation and/or disassembly of offshore structures, comprising: a hull equipped with ballast means connected to a control system; at least one working platform supported on the hull by means of one or more support elements; and at least one system for coupling to an offshore structure, wherein said coupling system can adopt, at least, a state in which it is coupled to said offshore structure and a state in which it is not coupled to said offshore structure. Advantageously, the control system and the coupling system are configured in a cooperating manner, in order to adopt at least two working positions of the vessel, wherein the hull adopts an above-water state with the coupling system decoupled, and at least a second working position wherein the hull adopts a submerged state in which the coupling system is coupled to the offshore structure.

Penetrating method of self-adjusting hydraulic static penetrating device suitable for seabed slope area
A self-adjusting hydraulic static penetrating device and method suitable for a seabed slope area is provided. The device includes an upper adjustable injection platform and a lower adjustable supporting platform. The upper adjustable injection platform is fixedly connected with the upper surface of the lower adjustable supporting platform. The upper adjustable injection platform includes a rack, a control cabin, an injection mechanism, a hydraulic station, a balance weight and first jacks. The control cabin, the injection mechanism, the hydraulic station, the balance weight and the first jacks are all arranged on the rack. The four first jacks are installed at the bottom of a steel structure frame, and the first jacks are fixed to the lower adjustable supporting platform. The device is simple in structure and low in cost, and can guarantee, to the maximum extent, that the overall gravity center of the device is always constant or slightly changes.

Measurement system, leg guide, jack-up platform
A measurement system that comprises at least one horizontal load measuring unit, that is preferably arranged on the leg guide is provided. The horizontal load measuring device measures or determines horizontal load on the position of the leg where the device is placed, which gives a more accurate indication of the leg bending moment than the rack phase differential measurement. Advantageously, multiple load measuring units can be provided along the leg guide.
