Wall element system and method and apparatus for constructing shoring walls
A caisson or casing 107 for installing a sheet 102/103 into a ground or underwater location, the caisson 107 having a shaped wall 107.1, which is open for a predetermined length and is adapted to receive and connect to an excavation means 3 within the confines of the caisson or casing 107. In at least one embodiment, the system includes a drilling assembly 3 for insertion of a caisson or casing 1, the drilling assembly 3 having one or more expanding drill bits 4 which are adapted to be driven by a drilling or rotation motive device 5, the expanding drill bits 4 being adapted to be arranged with respect to the caisson or casing 1 in use, so as form a hole or bore which substantially conforms to, or substantially overlaps with, the shape of the caisson or casing 1.
CONNECTION DEVICE FOR FASTENING EXPANDED CELL CONFINEMENT STRUCTURES AND METHODS FOR DOING THE SAME
A connection device for fastening two expanded cellular confinement structures includes: an insertion member; an integral shank extending perpendicular from the insertion member; and an integral handle member extending perpendicular from the shank at an end of the shank remote from the insertion member. One or more barbs may project from the insertion member. The device can have a washer section between the handle member and insertion member. The handle can be curved, or it can be in the shape of a polygon.
CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR UNDERWATER CONCRETE BLOCK STRUCTURE
Proposed is a construction method for an underwater concrete block structure. The concrete block structure is formed by stacking a plurality of concrete blocks on a foundation concrete block structure by using a guide pipe, and a concrete column is formed by, before removing the guide pipe, inserting a concrete column forming set such as a waterproof membrane through the inside of the guide pipe, so that the waterproof membrane can be inserted conveniently and safely and the construction speed of the concrete block structure can be further improved.
Trough plate for constructing locked polymer anti-seepage wall and construction method of locked polymer anti-seepage wall
A trough plate for constructing a locked polymer anti-seepage wall includes a plate body, a guide tube, a grouting pipe and an anti-blocking head. A construction method of the locked polymer anti-seepage wall includes the steps of positioning an N.sup.th trough plate and then pressing the N.sup.th trough plate into ground, wherein N is a natural number larger than and equal to 1; engaging an (N+1).sup.th trough plate with the N.sup.th trough plate, and then pressing the (N+1).sup.th trough plate into the ground; connecting a grouting pipe of the N.sup.th trough plate with a grouting machine, pulling out the N.sup.th trough plate, and simultaneously grouting through the grouting pipe of the N.sup.th trough plate by the grouting machine; and repeating the steps (B) and (C) till the locked polymer anti-seepage wall is completed, wherein the steps (B) and (C) are repeated every time, N is automatically increased by 1.
HIGH-CAPACITY THREADED BAR MICROPILE AND CAISSON REINFORCEMENT COMPRESSION SPACER
Various examples are provided related to compression spacers which can be utilized in the construction of, e.g., a micropile or drilled shaft. In one example, a high-capacity compression spacer includes a grout vessel body including: a grout receiving portion defined by a bottom of the grout vessel body and a portion of a sidewall of the grout vessel body; a bar receiving portion extending from the grout receiving portion to a lip defining an opening of the grout vessel body; and a plurality of tie wire insertion holes distributed about the bar receiving portion. Each of the plurality of tie wire insertion holes can be configured for insertion of a tie wire. The grout vessel body can be a single piece, molded body. The grout receiving portion can be filled with a high-strength, non-expanding grout or concrete.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEVELLING AND GRIPPING A JACKET LEG INTO A HOLLOW FOUNDATION PILE
A system for levelling and gripping a jacket leg into a hollow foundation pile has a levelling assembly for adjusting the longitudinal axis of a jacket leg partially inserted in a hollow foundation pile with an actuation group arranged about the jacket leg and configured to exert a force parallel to the longitudinal axis between the upper edge of the hollow foundation pile and the jacket leg and selectively attachable to the jacket leg and recoverable for further use in another levelling assembly; and a gripping assembly for locking the jacket leg in a designated position with respect to the hollow foundation pile once leveled.
