UTILITY COVER

A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface comprising a pattern of bosses, a first slot and a second slot disposed on the upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first reinforcement member, and a second reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.

Locking assembly

A locking assembly is provided for a cover. The cover is a substantially rigid cover configured to close off an opening to a void, said void bounded by a side wall. The cover defines a top side and an opposed underside. The locking assembly includes a mounting arrangement mountable to the underside. A link is pivotally connected to the mounting arrangement. The link defines a first end and a second, free end. A locking member is carried by the second, free end of the link. The locking member frictionally engages the side wall of the void in a locking position, in use. An actuating member connects to the link and is accessible via the top side. The actuating member displaces the link relative to the mounting arrangement to cause the locking member to frictionally disengage from the side wall of the void to a disengaged position.

Enclosure cover assemblies

Enclosure cover assemblies for use with direct burial enclosures are provided. The enclosure cover assembly includes a frame that is secured to the enclosure and a cover separately secured to the frame. The frame and cover are made of metal while the enclosure is made of a high strength material.

Utility cover

A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface and may include a pattern of bosses, and a first slot and a second slot each disposed on the upper surface. The cover may also include a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first rib or reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first rib or reinforcement member. A second rib or reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first rib or reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second rib or reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.

FOLDING BARRIER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE

A grate hatch and folding barrier assembly has a pair of doors that open in a cabinet-style manner and lie flat or generally flat atop a support structure within which the grate hatch and folding barrier assembly is installed. A folding barrier gate assembly may be deployed from a collapsed position to complete a four-sided barrier around the hatch or opening. The folded barrier gate assembly has two opposing barrier gates, and a pair of secondary barrier gates that connect with and extend between the two opposing barrier gates to form the four-sided barrier around the hatch opening when fully deployed. When the barrier is no longer needed, the barrier assembly may be folded or collapsed and stored in the opening beneath or below the doors and the doors may then be closed.

MODULAR NETWORK ACCESS FRAME AND COVER
20230332371 · 2023-10-19 ·

A modular frame for a cover for an in-ground chamber or pit, the modular frame comprising a plurality of frame sections securable relative to one another to form an external frame, at least some of the frame sections comprising an abutment wall to abut an upper portion of the in-ground chamber or pit, and a cover support structure to support a portion of one or more cover members relative thereto. Optionally, a depending structure to at least partially define an internal skirt configured to be received within the in-ground chamber or pit and/or an external upstand to at least partially define an opening into which the one or more cover members are locatable to at least partially close the opening may be provided. A cover including the modular frame and an in-ground chamber or pit including the cover are also provided.

FRAME SYSTEM AND MANHOLE COVERING

The invention relates to a frame system (1) for a manhole covering (100) having at least one first frame element (10) and one second frame element (20), which each include at least one first connecting surface (10a; 20a) and/or at least one second connecting surface (10b; 20b). The first and second frame element (10; 20) are connectable to one another in a friction-locked and/or formfitting manner along the opposing first or second connecting surfaces (10a; 10b; 20a; 20b), wherein in the connected state of the first and second frame element (10; 20) at least one joining region (12) is formed between the opposing first connecting surfaces (10a; 20a) or between the opposing second connecting surfaces (10b; 20b). The joining region (12) can be filled using a joining element (60) in such a way that the joined connection of the frame elements (10; 20) is detachable and reproducible wherein the joining element (90) comprises a hot melt adhesive. Furthermore, the invention relates to a manhole covering (100) having a manhole cover and such a frame system.
