The present invention discloses a system and method for forming a compacted aggregate pier at a target location. The system comprises a mandrel, which is a composition of a casing pipe and an inner steel shaft with close ended cone and convenient entry and exit of the inner shaft. The system further comprises a casing is equipped with water jet system, a rammer of mandrel attached to hydraulic hammer and an inner mandrel with a casing pipe having two valves with open and close capability. Using this system, the matrix soil radial density and the bearing capacity and the modulus of the reaction of the composite soil are increased and soil settlement decreases. This system also increases the density of loose soils or soils with dense sandy intermediate layers especially in shores and rivers in submerged conditions. Also, the loose granular soil is retrofitted against liquefaction.

The invention relates to a construction machine for introducing a displacement tube into the ground, wherein the displacement tube comprises a tube base body and, at its lower end, a closure device which comprises at least one closure flap which is adjustable between a closed position, in which the displacement tube is closed downwards by the at least one closure flap, and an open position, in which filling material is discharged from the displacement tube into the ground for forming a filling material column, wherein the construction machine comprises a feed drive for introducing and retracting the displacement tube into and out of the ground, respectively. According to the invention, it is provided that an actuating unit with at least one pressing-on element is arranged on the construction machine, by means of which the at least one closure flap is adjustable from the open position into its closed position and retainable in said position before contacting the ground at least until the closed closure flap penetrates into the ground. A method for reinforcing soft ground by post-grouting combined with pressurized vacuum preloading is proposed, by pre-burying prefabricated vertical drains and air-boosted pipes in granular material piles, and the air-boosted pipes are used as grouting pipes to reduce the number of times of piling, which not only improves the construction efficiency, but also reduces the structural disturbance of the soil and the influence of smear effect, thus reducing the impact on the radial permeability and the radial consolidation coefficients. The method does not use geotextile bags for granular materials, which can avoid the problem of forming a localized clogging area around the geotextile bags, and the method not only improves the efficiency of vacuum transfer in a pre-consolidation stage, but also improves the grouting effect in the later stage, effectively enhances the strength of soft soil and makes granular material piles and the surrounding soil form composite ground.

A concentrically loaded foundation pier system which includes several concentrically stacked steel pipes filled with concrete. The entire pier is installed centrally beneath the footing of the structure. Shims are placed between the top-most pier element and a pier cap which prevents shifting when the soil expands and contracts. The final structure is end-loaded and pressed to the bedrock or other load-bearing strata. An alternative embodiment includes a temporary lifting assembly which can be fastened about the structural pier without need for bolts or other fasteners.
