The invention relates to a pile joint, which comprises a first concrete pile, a second concrete pile, and a coupling system therebetween for connecting and locking the concrete piles relative to each other. The coupling system includes a lock housing and a lock spindle connectible to each other and provided with transverse holes in such a way that the lock housing's transverse holes and the lock spindle's transverse hole settle substantially in line with each other for receiving a locking pin when the lock housing and the lock spindle are connected to each other. In addition, the lock housing is provided with a locking ring for retaining the locking pin in a position locking the lock housing and the lock spindle to each other. For ensuring the pipe joint's installation and durability there is in alignment with a first transverse hole of the lock housing a guidance pipe and in alignment with a second transverse hole of the lock housing, opposite to its first hole, a locking seat closed at one end and intended for the locking ring. The locking ring is adapted to be movable in a groove included in the locking seat and the locking pin is provided with a recess in the lengthwise direction of the locking pin to receive the locking ring.

UNDERPINNING PILE ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING STRUCTURE UPON THE EARTH
20230036763 · 2023-02-02 ·

An underpinning pile assembly for supporting a structure upon the earth has a plurality of pile segments, a cable extending through a continuous passageway of the plurality of pile segments, and an anchor assembly positioned at the top of the plurality of pile segments. Each of the plurality of pile segments is stacked one upon another. The cable has a lower end affixed to one of the plurality of pile segments. The anchor has an opening that receives a portion of the cable therein so as to fix a position of an upper end of the cable. The anchor assembly has at least one column extending upwardly from an upper surface thereof. An adjustable support is affixed to the column and has a surface opposite the column that is adapted to support the structure thereon.

MONOPILE AND WIND TURBINE STRUCTURE

A monopile comprising a body (1) having a hollow interior, a toe (9) at a distal end for insertion into a soil (19) during monopile installation, and a proximal end region (2) for supporting a structure (7), such as a wind turbine tower, once the monopile has been installed. The body (1) further comprises a door aperture (12) provided in the body (1) for accessing the interior of the body (1). The door aperture (12) is configured to receive a door assembly (6,18) once the monopile (1) has been installed.

Secant concrete shoring using helical piles for depth

A pile shoring wall includes tangent concrete piles that are formed in the ground at an excavation site. The tangent concrete piles include a plurality of a first type of concrete piles in the ground at depths wherein the average depth is d.sub.1 and a plurality of a second type of concrete piles. The second type of concrete piles includes 10% and less than 50% of the tangent concrete piles, and each have a shaft of a helical pile secured therewithin. Each helical pile has a bottom portion with helical flights for screwing the helical pile into the ground, and each helical pile is set into the ground to a depth of at least about 2 m below d.sub.1. The helical flights of each helical pile are exposed to the surrounding soil and increase resistance below an excavation depth when the site is excavated.
