AN EARTH CUTTING APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD
There is disclosed an earth cutting apparatus (200) comprising a plurality of articulated elements (210, 212) including at least a first element (210) having a mounting structure (214) thereon and an adjacent second element (212) hingedly connected to the first element (210). An earth cutting member (216) is provided including a proximal end (216.1) which is pivotally mounted to the mounting structure (214) of the first element (210) and an earth cutting end (216.2). The earth cutting member (216) is slidably connected (218) to the adjacent second element (212) and moveable between an extended position (220) and a retracted position (222), such that hinged movement of the adjacent second element (212) relative to the first element (210) causes the earth cutting member (216) to slidably extend from the adjacent second element (212) to the extended position (220) for operatively cutting earth. Hinged movement of the adjacent second element (212) in an opposite direction causes the earth cutting member (216) to slidably retract to the retracted position (222).

TRENCH CUTTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A trench cutting apparatus and method, the apparatus comprising a central support element comprising at least one jetting outlet and a cutting element configured to be driven around the central support element. The trench cutting apparatus is configured to be operable in a mechanical cutting mode in which the cutting element is driven around the central support element to cut material forward of the trench cutting apparatus, and a jet cutting mode in which a pump is activated to eject fluid from the at least one jetting outlet to fluidize or cut material forward of the trench cutting apparatus.

HAND HELD TRENCHER ASSEMBLY
A hand held trencher assembly for digging a trench with existing weed trimmers includes a weed trimmer that is manipulated by a user. The weed trimmer has a motor, a pole and a drive that is positioned within the pole. The drive is rotatably coupled to the motor such that the motor rotates the drive when the motor is turned on. A trenching unit is removably coupled to the pole such that the trenching unit lies on the ground when the weed trimmer is employed. The trenching unit is releasably coupled to the drive for powering the trenching unit thereby facilitating the trenching unit to dig a trench in the ground.

Hydraulic control system
A hydraulic control for an attachment on a work vehicle. Power is provided to the attachment by manually actuating a control that is biased toward a first position. This first position corresponds to a deactuated mode of the attachment. By unlocking a lock mechanism, the control may be maintained in a second position under hand pressure. This second position corresponds to an actuated mode of the attachment. The lock mechanism may be actuated by an operator platform-actuated release mechanism. While an operator is on a platform on the vehicle, the lock mechanism remains unlocked, and the attachment maintains its operation without hand pressure on the control. The release mechanism actuates the lock mechanism when an operator is not on the platform. As a result, the attachment is deactuated. A filter may be utilized to prevent premature actuation of the release mechanism.
