Machine slope and pitch control based on dynamic center of gravity
A machine is disclosed. The machine may include a control system that includes a controller configured to: determine a center of gravity of the machine based on a state of the machine; determine at least one of a slope limit or a pitch limit for the machine based on the center of gravity; receive a command to perform an operation that, if performed, would affect at least one of a slope or a pitch of the machine; determine whether the operation, if performed, would cause the machine to exceed the at least one of the slope limit or the pitch limit; and selectively perform the operation based on determining whether the operation, if performed, would cause the machine to exceed the at least one of the slope limit or the pitch limit.
Method of refurbishing a bucket wheel reclaimer
A method 10 of refurbishing a bucket wheel reclaimer (BWR) 41 having structural frame 68, a chute 66 supported by the structural frame 68, a yard conveyor 42 for receiving material from the chute 66 and an impact table 64 supported by the structural frame 68 below a portion of an upper run 44 of the yard conveyor 42. The method includes a step 12 of decoupling a current impact table 64 from the BWR structural frame 68. The impact table 64 is lowered at step 26 from the structural frame 68. Thereafter at step 14 the current impact table is moved laterally away from and to one side of the yard conveyor. At steps 16 and 18 a fresh impact table is moved laterally to a location beneath the upper run 44 of the yard conveyor and coupled to the BWR 41.
Self cleaning collection apparatus and method
A self cleaning collecting apparatus and method are provided for the collection of seafloor material. The collecting apparatus, which operates on a seafloor, has a plurality of rotating discs in front of a slurry suction pipe with clearing members located between adjacent discs. Any oversize material lodged in the discs during collection is dislodged by the one or more clearing members and prevented from entering the slurry suction pipe, thus preventing blockages caused by oversize material congesting the slurry suction pipe.
Vehicle-Attached Excavation Implement
A vehicle-attached, task-associated excavation implement with interchangeable rotational excavation apparatuses is conceptualized in this application. The implement is similar to McGee's Tractor-Mounted Excavation Implement, but is conceptualized in a new way of combing parts or portions of the implement with vehicles currently existing in the prior art, without the need for a tractor equipped with power-take-off. This vehicle-attached implement can be supported by a variety of motorized vehicles, utilizing a variety of apparatus-powering options. An assortment of steering options could be used, and movements of the apparatuses, either with or separate from the implement, provide diverse functionality. Tasks supported by the rotational excavating apparatuses include Foundation footings, trenches, rounded ditches, shallow V-shaped ditches, landscape or garden beds, and shallow graded depressions for sidewalks or simple slabs. Excavating apparatuses have claws or cutting elements attached to surface at angles to propel soil directionally.
Road working machine with egress lighting system
A road working machine includes an operator's station that is adapted to be occupied by an operator of the road working machine. The road working machine also includes a controller and a safety light circuit that is operatively attached to the controller. The safety light circuit includes a plurality of downwardly directed safety lights that are located so as to provide lighted egress from the operator's station.
A METHOD OF REFURBISHING A BUCKET WHEEL RECLAIMER
A ROTABLE BUCKET WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND A METHOD FOR REFURBISHING AN ASSOCIATED BUCKET WHEEL RECLAIMER
A bucket wheel assembly (40) includes a structural frame (42) that in use forms a structural part of the boom of a bucket wheel reclaimer. The structural frame (42) supports a bucket wheel (44) having a plurality of attached buckets (46); a ring chute (48) and an associated discharge chute (50). The bucket wheel (44) is attached to the middle of shaft (51), which is supported by two bearings (52). The drive unit is attached to the shaft (51) to provide the rotation torque, and the drive unit is also attached to the structure (42). The structural frame (42) couples to a portion of the boom and transfers the assembly load to the boom when the reclaimer is in operation.
Apparatus and Method for Changing Bucket Wheels
The invention relates to a bucket wheel machine 100 comprising a base 102 and an operating block 104. The operating block comprises a bucket wheel 106, a bearing 112,114, and at least one of a ring chute 120, a bucket wheel chute 108, and a bucket wheel drive 116. The operating block 104 is detachably attached to the base of the bucket wheel machine 102. The operating block 104 also comprises a support frame 130 which is connected to the bearing 112,114.
