POWER RAKE

A power rake for attachment with a vehicle. The power rake includes a main frame. The power rake also includes an adjustment assembly operably engaged with the main frame, and the adjustment assembly is independently moveable relative to the main frame. The power rake also includes a rotor assembly operably engaged with the adjustment assembly, and the rotor assembly is independently moveable relative to the main frame by the adjustment assembly. The rotor assembly is adapted to be pivoted via the adjustment assembly relative to a vertical axis of the main frame. The adjustment assembly and the rotor assembly are selectively vertically adjustable relative to a vertical axis of the main frame. The rotor assembly is selectively rotatably adjustable relative to a vertical axis of the main frame.

A grading system for connection to a vehicle having vertically movable arms, the grading system including a grading blade assembly having a frame having a first pivot extending upward, a second pivot extending forward, a blade connected to the frame via the first pivot and the second pivot, a blade yaw actuator and a blade roll actuator, wherein the frame is configured to have the first pivot extend substantially vertically and the second pivot extend substantially longitudinally when the grading blade assembly is connected to the vehicle and the blade and vehicle are in a level position on a ground surface and the vertically movable arms of the vehicle are in a first raised position above a lowest most position.

Traction control method for a rotary mixer

A rotary mixer can include a frame, a rotor attached to the frame, four wheels attached to the frame for moving the rotary mixer, and a drive system for driving the four wheels, the drive system can include four independent hydrostatic drive loops, each of the independent hydrostatic drive loops associated with one of the wheels such that each one of the independent hydrostatic drive loops independently drives one of the four wheels; wherein the drive system includes a pressure balance mode of operation for relatively good traction ground or road conditions, and a wheel speed synchronization mode of operation for relatively poor traction ground or road conditions.

Dirt contouring and grading device

A dirt contouring and grading device final grading of a soil bed prior to sodding includes a vehicle, which in turn comprises a frame, a plurality of wheels, and a propulsion unit so that the vehicle is self-propelled. A deck that is engaged to the frame has a drum engaged thereto. The drum is operationally coupled to an actuator that is powered to selectively effect axial rotation of the drum against a surface upon which the vehicle is positioned. A first biaser is powered to selectively raise, lower, and angle the deck relative to the frame to create flat sections, gentle hills, and mounds in a soil bed. A second biaser is powered to selectively effect longitudinal rotation of the drum relative to the deck to direct excess soil selectively to one side or the other of the vehicle.

Milling machine having pivot arms offset from engine output shaft

A milling machine may include a frame. The milling machine may include a first wheel and a second wheel connected to a first end of the frame, and a third wheel connected to a second end of the frame. The milling machine may include a first leg, a second leg, and a third leg connecting the frame and the first wheel, the second wheel, and the third wheel, respectively. The milling machine may include a pair of arms pivotably connected to opposite sides of the frame. The milling machine may have a milling drum rotatably connected to the arms with a rotational axis parallel to the pivot axis. Further, the milling machine may have an engine that rotates the milling drum via a transmission. An output shaft of the engine positioned transverse to the frame may have an output shaft axis spaced apart from the pivot axis of the arms.

System for contouring turf using hierarchical control

A turfplaner is described comprising a rotational elongated cutter capable of independently altering a cut height of the rotational cutter based on a deviation between cut height and a desired cut profile. A hierarchical controller is in functional communication with the lift mechanism and a laser or GPS guidance system. The laser or GPS receiver is capable of receiving the planer laser beam or GPS signal and the hierarchical controller is capable of determining and minimizing a deviation between the cut height and the desired cut profile based on the laser or GPS receiver location relative to the planer laser beam or GPS signal. At least one autograde device and an autodepth device are in functional communication with the hierarchical controller to activate either on grade, below grade, or above grade control mode.
