Trench cutter and method for producing a cut trench in the soil
The invention relates to a trench cutter and a method for producing a cut trench in the soil having a cutter frame, at least one pair of cutting wheels which are supported and driven in a rotatable manner on a lower end of the cutter frame, wherein each cutting wheel has a plurality of cutting teeth along its outer circumference, and a supply and/or discharge means for supplying or discharging a cutting liquid to or from the cut trench in the region of the cutting wheels. According to the invention provision is made in that spaced from the supply and/or discharge means a cleaning device is provided for cleaning the cutting wheels during the cutting operation with a cleaning fluid and in that the cleaning device has a plurality of cleaning nozzles which are directed onto the outer circumference of at least one cutting wheel and designed to inject the cleaning fluid to loosen adhering soil material.
Cutter head with skirt
A cutter head arranged to rotate about an axis of rotation for removing material from a water bed comprises a base ring positioned respect to the axis of rotation; a hub positioned with respect to the axis of rotation; a plurality of arms extending between the base ring and the hub, the arms comprising a plurality of cutting tools; and a plurality of skirts, each skirt extending from one of the plurality of arms to the hub to form a closed surface between the arm and the hub from a distal end of the cutter head toward the base ring and ending with a side configured to be parallel to a backplate, leaving an open channel between the skirt and the backplate.
Road penetration and excavation system
A street and road surface penetration removal system for utility repairs and replacement. The penetration and removal system utilizes a circular disk pavement cutter and remover with a retainment box placement for vacuum excavation using high pressure water excavation and vacuum removal by a self-contained excavation vacuum to gain clear access to a utility for repair or replacement.
PILE LEG WALKING TYPE MINING ROBOT
Disclosed is a pile leg walking type manganese nodule mining robot. The robot includes a body, a pile walking mechanism, a vector propulsive mechanism, a negative pressure suction mechanism and a manganese nodule cutter suction mechanism. The invention involves a stable and efficient deep-sea mining robot which can complete the mining task on the geological layer where the manganese nodule are located, and effectively protects the marine life and living environment in the deep-sea mining area. The existence environment of manganese nodule is also protected. After mining, the regeneration environment of living or other resources on the deep-sea floor will not be affected, thus greatly resolving the sharp contradiction between resource exploitation and environmental protection.
A CUTTER HEAD WITH SUCTION FUNCTION AND A METHOD FOR USING SAME
The invention relates to a cutter head for removing a mixture comprising water and solid materials from a water bottom, comprising rotating blades each provided with cutting means on a leading edge thereof, said cutter head being rotatably coupled to a tube for transporting said mixture, the shape of the leading edge of said rotating blades being defined by substantially fitting a rounded cone with a rotation axis, wherein each rotating blade at a middle part is coupled to a connecting ring and at a top part is linked to a top part of another rotating blade. The cutter head is characterized in that the rotation axis of said blades is substantially aligned with a rotation axis of said ring; in that a trailing edge of part at least one of said blades is positioned closer to said rotation axis than a leading edge of said blades so as to provide a suction function towards said tube upon rotation of said cutter head; and in that said blades as viewed from said top part at a bottom part of said blades extend to a position beyond said connecting ring. A preferred embodiment comprises a method for using the cutter head according to the invention.
Cutter head
A method of forming a cutter head with an axis of rotation comprises forming a hub; forming at least one ring with integral cutter body arm segments extending from the at least one ring; and connecting the hub to the cutter body arm segments so that the hub and the at least one ring are connected and around the axis of rotation.
