Stormwater capture housing system

A stormwater capture housing system designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by filtering solid waste from stormwater flow in roadways, transportation facilities, and pavement, while maintaining an optimal flow rate and enabling safe accessibility. The system comprises a housing unit with top grates that enable stormwater and solid waste to drain from the roadway into a sub-grade capture area formed by a screen weir and a screen box. The screen box ensures that the solid waste is collected while the water filters into a clean water area. The screen weir also filters solid waste and is further configured to allow for an overflow of stormwater and solid waste. Another section of the top wall has a filled grating configuration that allows for stormwater to drain without passing any solid waste to prevent flooding, also enabling access to the internal components of the housing system.

Inline bioremediation liquid treatment system

A liquid treatment system is provided having a vault that contains a treatment chamber and an outflow chamber. The treatment chamber may have a filtration media layer containing media that treats liquid as it descends through the filtration media layer, where it will accumulate in a porous layer or open space. The liquid will then be directed through the plurality of pipes to the outflow chamber, where the treated liquid is further directed to outside the system. Accumulated debris settled at the bottom of the treatment chamber may be flushed out by a spray bar.

A stormwater collection, treatment, and aquifer replenishment installation includes a stormwater drain for receiving surface stormwater, a dry well downwardly extending underground to an outlet proximate to a water table over an aquifer, a tank structure at least partially disposed underground and coupled with the stormwater drain and the dry well in stormwater communication, a stormwater treatment system enclosed within the tank structure between the stormwater drain and the dry well for converting surface stormwater into treated stormwater, the tank structure for conducting surface stormwater to the stormwater treatment system between the stormwater drain and the dry well, and the dry well for receiving and gravity feeding treated stormwater from stormwater treatment system to the outlet.

Spring-loaded float tree and float tree assembly

A float tree for suspending floats within a basin system includes a rod portion, a cap section, movably affixed to the rod portion, and a spring provided between the cap section and the rod section. The spring provides force against the rod portion and the cap section. A first and second cap can be included to seat the spring between the cap section and the rod portion within the float tree.

Flow Control System

An application for a flow control system includes a vertically oriented expanding conduit, positioned within the interior of a container which is fluidly interfaced to a downstream drainage system. The lower end of the expanding conduit is in fluid communication with an upstream reservoir through a closed conduit. A means to restrain the expanding conduit from lateral movement is provided and the means is in fluid communication with the interior of the container. The distal, upper end of the expanding conduit is capped and at least one fluid passageway opens through the cap from the interior of the expanding conduit. As the fluid pressure rises in the expanding conduit in response to an increase in the fluid level in the upstream reservoir, the fluid passageway through the capped, upper end of the expanding conduit rises to prescribed level and the release rate of fluid into the downstream drainage system is maintained at a prescribed rate or range of rates as the fluid level continues to rise.

There is provided a plastic infiltration unit comprising: a top deck which extends in a plane, at least one pillar extending from the top deck for supporting the top deck, wherein the top deck is provided with at least one integrated connector arranged to connect the plastic infiltration unit with another at least one integrated connector, of another plastic infiltration unit in a side by side arrangement.

Buoyant Mechanical Liquid Level Control

A liquid level control system, which may be used with a clarifier in a sewage treatment plant, manages liquid level of an upstream basin by controlling liquid flow in or out of a system that may use a midstream device to equally distribute flow in or out of the basin. This headloss inducing device creates a non-linear relationship between upstream liquid level to be controlled and the lesser downstream liquid level behind the gate or valve. Without the use of electrical controls, the systems of the invention include a gate or valve with counterforces that manage the outflow stream of liquid while accounting for the non-linear head loss created by the midstream device, thus reaching a desired liquid level range for all system flowrates.

Modular stormwater retention and management system

A modular storm water retention system and method for exemplary uses collecting and temporarily retaining storm water run-off. The system includes a plurality of modular retaining units which are selectively connected together to form an interior chamber volume for collecting storm water run-off directed into the chamber volume. A plurality of modular trays are engaged with the top portions of the respective retention units to prevent relative movement of the retention units and eliminate, or substantially reduce, the need for porous material to be installed in and around the retention units greatly increasing the excavation void space usable for water collection and retention. The trays further support the backfill material and prevent passage of the backfill material into the void space below the trays.

METHOD OF ABSORBING PRECIPITATION

A method of absorbing falling precipitation to prevent the falling precipitation from reaching an area for an activity includes spreading a sufficient amount of a water absorbent including superabsorbent granules over the area prior to or during the falling precipitation so that the superabsorbent granules can absorb the water before the falling precipitation can reach the area wherein the activity can immediately occur after the falling precipitation stops and the water absorbent is removed. Another method of absorbing falling precipitation to prevent the falling precipitation from reaching an area for an activity includes placing an application bag over the area prior to or during the falling precipitation, wherein the application bag includes a sufficient amount of superabsorbent granules inside a casing, wherein the superabsorbent granules can absorb the falling precipitation before the falling precipitation can reach the area, and wherein the activity can immediately occur after the falling precipitation stops and the application bag is removed.
