Mast assembly for drilling rig
A mast assembly for a drilling rig includes a mast formed from a plurality of mast subunits. The mast assembly includes a lower drilling machine, upper drilling machine, and upper mud assembly, each of which is coupled to and movable vertically relative to the mast. The mast subunits are separable when the mast is in a transport configuration such that the LDM is positioned in a first subunit and the UDM is in a second subunit of the mast when the mast is in the transport configuration. The mast assembly may be used during a continuous drilling operation.
Building structure with independently cantilevered stories
A building structure includes a core extending upright through and supporting the weight of one or more stories of the building structure, each story including one or more floor units, at least one story forming an outer peripheral portion, and an inner support portion through which the story is supported by the core via an interface along the perimeter of the core, wherein the horizontal cross-section of the core has a substantially circular external perimeter at the level of the interface, the interface and the inner support portion of the story, wherein at least one story is stiffened by a space frame extending from the inner support portion to the outer peripheral portion and making the story a self-supporting rigid body cantilevered off the core and structurally independent of all other stories, wherein the story transmits gravity-induced loads to the core via the interface only by means of vertical forces.
MODULAR SYSTEM FOR FAST CONNECTION OF HABITABLE MODULES
The present invention refers to a modular system for fast connection of habitable modules (2) based on coupling standardized shipping containers to adjusted receiving structures (3). This system is based on a connecting plate system (1), habitable modules (2), a receiving structure (3), an alveolar structure (7) to connect said receiving structure (3) and automatic systems for transport, lifting, docking and coupling. The present invention refers also to a method of fast connection of habitable modules (2) within this modular structure.

The mast subunits are separable when the mast is in a transport configuration such that the LDM is positioned in a first subunit and the UDM is in a second subunit of the mast when the mast is in the transport configuration. The mast assembly may be used during a continuous drilling operation.
Roof structure and construction method thereof
To provide a roof structure free from generation of a dead space, capable of reducing a load moment. A roof structure including a roof (1) supported by a post (2) is a cantilever structure having the front end of the roof (1) formed in a free end and the rear end connected to the upper end of the post (2). The lower end of the post (2) is fixed in a concrete foundation (5). The post (2) is tilted with the upper end directed backward and with the lower end directed forward. A counter moment cm generated on the post (2) at the time of application of a load to the roof (1) reduces a load moment (M) generated by the load, thereby bringing the post (2) into an advantageous state in strength. The configuration of the post (2) with two post members and a vertical connecting member (10) connecting the post members facilitates the construction of the post (2) to be tilted at a desired angle.
Method of constructing a building, and a building construction system therefor
A method of constructing a building includes constructing a vertical support core of the building, and attaching a climbing rail to an exterior of the vertical support core. The climbing rail includes holes spaced vertically. A first floor plate is constructed around a periphery of the vertical support core, at a ground elevation, and includes at least one connecting rail having vertically spaced holes. A climbing jack is attached to the climbing rail, and moved vertically upward on the climbing rail to raise the first floor plate to a first floor final elevation. The first floor plate is permanently attached to the climbing rail at the first floor final elevation by inserting a pin through aligned holes in the connecting rail and the climbing rail.
Articulating joint for wind turbine
An articulating joint for a wind turbine having a tower defining a shaft and a deck provided in the shaft includes a bracket extending from a first end having a fixed connection with the deck to a second end including an opening. A fastener includes a head pivotably connected to the tower and a shaft extending through the opening. A washer connected to the bracket is aligned with the opening for receiving the shaft such that the fastener is pivotable with the washer relative to the opening to allow for relative movement between the tower and the deck.
Quonset building with internal tower support
A quonset style building is provided with an arched-roof defining a width, length and height, and tower supporting the roof adjacent its apex. The tower separates storage areas on opposite sides of the building. The tower also permits the building height and width to be increased over conventional quonset buildings, and allows the width to be 3× the height, while withstanding typical weather forces, including wind and snow.
