EXPANSION JOINT COVER
An expansion joint cover for insertion in an expansion gap comprising a first frame section for attachment to a substrate at one side of the expansion gap, the first frame section having a flat surface; a second frame section for attachment to a substrate at an opposite side of the expansion gap, the second frame section having a first connector; a centre section configured to span the expansion gap and slide on the flat surface of the first frame section, the centre section having a second connector; and a linkage section configured to engage with the first and second connectors to connect the centre section to the second frame section, wherein the linkage section can pivot within the first and second connectors to allow movement of the centre section with respect to the second frame section.
Flexible expansion joint seal
An expansion joint seal includes a central portion having at least one central chamber disposed around a centerline, a first flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline and a second flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline in a direction opposite the first flange portion. When installed on the structure, the first flange portion is attachable to a first substrate of the structure and the second flange portion is attachable to a second substrate of the structure such that the central portion is disposed within and seals a gap formed between the first substrate and the second substrate of the structure. Movement of one or both of the first substrate and the second substrate causes a response in the central portion to maintain the seal.
FIRE AND WATER RESISTANT, INTEGRATED WALL AND ROOF EXPANSION JOINT SEAL SYSTEM
A fire and water resistant, integrated wall and roof expansion joint seal system includes an expansion joint seal for a structure. The seal includes a central portion having an underside and at least one central chamber disposed around a centerline, a first flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline and a second flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline in a direction opposite the first flange portion. The system further includes a joint closure. The joint closure includes a core and a layer of a water resistant material disposed on the core. The joint closure further includes an end portion configured to match and integrate with the underside of the central portion to form the watertight, integrated wall and roof expansion joint seal system. A fire retardant material is included in the core in an amount effective to pass testing mandated by UL 2079, and the core with the fire retardant material therein is configured to facilitate compression of the core when installed between the first substrate and the second substrate by repeatedly expanding and contracting to accommodate movement of the first substrate and the second substrate; and the core with the fire retardant material included therein is configured to pass the testing mandated by UL 2079. Movement of one or both of the first substrate and the second substrate causes a response in the central portion to maintain the seal.
EXPANSION JOINTS
Tiles 21 and 22 are laid up with other tiles in the usual way at and along the joint 18, the joint 18 comprises a female strip 23 and a male strip 24 each of which have fastening flanges 25 and 26 and respective 90° walls 27 and 28. A slot or rebate in the female section 29 holds an expandable seal, typically in this case a hydrophilic seal. The female part and the male parts are assembled for relative movement so that a small gap perhaps 2 mm at 31 may be accommodated while the upper plate section 23 still provides a contiguous coplanar link between the parts.
Mullion seal
An acoustic seal for a sound flanking path between an interior architectural separation and a mullion. A seal body is configured as an elongated rail having a base rail portion and a side rail portion. The base rail portion has sides defining a first seal surface for engaging a first interior side of the mullion, and a second seal surface for engaging an end wall of the architectural separation. The side rail portion has sides defining a third seal surface substantially non-parallel with respect to the first seal surface for engaging a second interior side of the mullion, and a fourth seal surface in substantially coplanar relationship with the second seal surface for engaging the end wall of the architectural separation. The first and third seal surfaces may form an inside seal corner for enveloping an outside corner of the mullion defined by the mullion's first and second interior sides.
Flexible expansion joint seal system
A watertight, integrated wall and roof expansion joint seal system includes an expansion joint seal for a structure. The seal includes a central portion having an underside and at least one central chamber disposed around a centerline, a first flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline and a second flange portion extending outwardly from the centerline in a direction opposite the first flange portion. The expansion joint seal includes a fold including a first fold portion and a second fold portion, wherein the first fold portion of the first flange portion is attachable to a first surface of a first substrate of the structure and the second fold portion of the first flange portion is attachable to a second surface of a the first substrate, and the first fold portion of the second flange portion is attachable to a first surface of a second substrate of the structure and the second fold portion of the second flange portion is attachable to a second surface of the second substrate, such that the central portion is disposed within and seals a gap formed between the first substrate and the second substrate of the structure. The system further includes a joint closure.
Wall seal
A system for sealing a space defined between a modular wall and a permanent structure includes a sealing material connected to the permanent structure and the modular wall and spanning the space defined therebetween. The sealing material is configured to transform from an expanded state to a recovered state in response to a stimulus to form a seal. The stimulus can be, for example, heat, whereby heating the sealing material at or above the transition temperature for the sealing material causes the sealing material to transition from the expanded state to the recovered state.
Joint sealing profile, construction joint bridging device and method of manufacturing a joint sealing profile
A construction joint bridging device with a joint sealing profile and a joint sealing profile as such, as well as a method for producing a joint sealing profile and a method for producing and disassembling a construction joint bridging device. The joint sealing profile consisting at least partially of an elastic material and having a holding portion for fastening to the construction joint bridging device, wherein the holding portion has at least in sections a material composition which can be activated in a targeted manner by chemical, thermal and physical exposure so that the volume of the holding portion changes.
Building deformation joint waterproofing system with bonding-type built-in water stop structure, and method based thereon
A building deformation joint waterproofing system with a bonding-type built-in water stop structure and a method based thereon are provided, which relate to the technical field of building waterproof structures. The system includes: a concrete structure, on which a building deformation joint is disposed; a water stop structure, which is elastic or stretchable, and disposed in the building deformation joint; and a first bonding layer, disposed between the water stop structure and an inner wall of the building deformation joint.
