Fire-stopping product
The invention provides a fire-stopping product, an insulated building façade comprising a fire-stopping product, and a method of making a fire-stopping product. The fire-stopping product comprises a resilient, porous material at least partially impregnated with an intumescent agent and held in compression by a releasable restraint. When exposed to hot gases from a fire, the restraint yields to release the resilient, porous material in an initial expansion, thereby exposing the intumescent agent to the hot gases and allowing rapid intumescence to occur. When implemented in a ventilated building façade, the fire-stopping product is able to close an air gap in a short amount of time.
FIRE BARRIER FOR WALL SHEATHING MATERIALS
A sheathing material includes a layer of ceramic paper to help prevent the burning of the sheathing during a fire. The material may include insulation disposed between the ceramic paper and the substrate to further reduce damage to the substrate, and may include a thin layer of wood or paper placed over the ceramic paper to protect the ceramic paper and to allow the sheathing to be used in a manner similar to that of a conventional sheathing material.
FACADE ASSEMBLY, BUILDING STRUCTURE, AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING THE FACADE ASSEMBLY
In a facade assembly (14) for a building (10), with at least one facade element (16), which may be fastened to a wall or an inter-story ceiling (12) of the building (10), and with at least one fire-protection element (18), which may be mounted between the facade element (16) and the wall or the inter-story ceiling (12), the fire-protection element (18) contains an insulating layer (19) and at least one angle profile (32) with two flanges (34, 36) disposed at an angle relative to one another, wherein one of the flanges (34) of the angle profile (32) is fastened to the facade element (16) and the other flange (36) of the angle profile (32) bears on the insulating layer (19).
UNIVERSAL JOINT SEALING TAPE FOR DIFFERENT PROFILE DIMENSIONS AND SEAL ARRANGEMENT HAVING SUCH A JOINT SEALING TAPE
A joint sealing tape can be universally used for different profile dimensions, for sealing building joints, particularly for sealing them with regard to noise and/or smoke and with regard to fire. In particular, the joint sealing tape can be used for sealing a joint between a first component and a second component, having an elongated connection element and at least two sealing elements, which are positioned on the connection element at a distance from and next to one another, running in the longitudinal direction of the connection element, and wherein the connection element has a perforation.
JOINT-SEALING ELEMENT AND SEALING ARRANGEMENT WITH SUCH A JOINT-SEALING ELEMENT
A joint-sealing element is useful for fireproof sealing of building-structure joints, especially for fireproof sealing of a joint between a first building part and a second building part, with a carrier element and a sealing profile disposed on this carrier element, wherein the disposed sealing profile contains an intumescent material.
INSULATION MOUNTING BRACKET
A one-piece insulation mounting bracket is disclosed. The mounting bracket readily supports the insulation (e.g., curtain wall insulation) without the need for separate fasteners, locking washers, etc. As a result, the insulation can be mounted more quickly than with conventional mounting systems.
INSULATION MATERIAL INCLUDING INORGANIC FIBERS AND ENDOTHERMIC MATERIAL
A thermal insulation material includes inorganic fibers and an endothermic material dispersed throughout the inorganic fibers. The endothermic material may be incorporated into the inorganic fibers during a fiber attenuation process. The endothermic material may be particles entangled within a web of the inorganic fibers or may be coated onto surfaces of the inorganic fibers.
Glazed Curtain Wall Panel System
A panelized, versatile structurally glazed curtain wall system developed with a dual purpose as a unique system that will provide ease of installation in a curtain wall, and a fire rated version, that can be pre-fabricated in a factory and transported as a unit to the installation location. Both can be used alone or married together easily for seamless unbroken horizontal and vertical sight lines. Installation is improved and made more productive due to its prefabrication so that it is ready to install with little additional hardware. At least one embodiment utilizes only vertical building structure (and not horizontal building structure) for secure and effective installation, avoiding the need for accessing structure in ceilings and/or floors.
Insulation panel for construction and manufacturing method thereof
A multilayer thermal insulation panel for construction and manufacturing method thereof are described. A manufacturing method of a backing layer of a multilayer thermal insulation panel for construction, the method comprising the steps of: providing a reinforcement layer in fibrous material, spreading a first fluid mineral mixture on the reinforcement layer to form a cladding layer of the reinforcement layer; forming a fire-resistant layer comprising expansive graphite on the cladding layer; and drying the backing layer.
