Window and curtain wall mullions, transoms and systems
Methods, structures and systems for environmental isolation of metal window, transom and mullion surfaces, including in one aspect a metal frame structure configured to receive an operable window, the frame structure having a first thermally insulated polymer component connected to a side of the frame structure at a side wall and spanning a total width of the side wall, and an operable window having a second thermally insulated polymer component connected to a sash assembly, the window configured to close to a position defining a first gap between the second thermally insulated polymer component and the first thermally insulated polymer component and a second gap between the sash assembly and the frame structure. In one aspect at least one seal is positioned in the first gap and abutting both the second component and the first component and at least one seal positioned in the second gap and abutting both the sash assembly and the frame structure to provide improved insulation effectiveness.
Glass fastening and sealing systems
A glass fastening system includes a glass portion, a support structure defining a recess, a first adhesive layer disposed on an exterior surface of the glass portion facing the recess in the support structure, a second adhesive layer disposed within the recess of the support structure, and a fastener having a first portion secured to the first adhesive layer and a second portion extending away from the first portion and into the second adhesive layer to secure the glass portion to the support structure.
Wall connection system
A wall connection system is disclosed, which includes a horizontal building frame component with a first vertical face that has a first slot. The system further includes a prefabricated wall structure with a plurality of parallel studs and an elongate member connect to each stud. The elongate member has a second vertical face with a second slot and is parallel to the first vertical face. The long axis of the first slot is perpendicular to the long axis of the second slot. A fastener assembly connects the horizontal building frame component to the wall structure, through the slots.
Façade structure and/or wall structure
Façade structure and/or wall structure for a building including tiles (1) and a support structure (2), in which the tiles (1) are received oriented in each case in a vertical plane. The support structure (2) has vertical tension elements (3), to which bearing bodies (4) are attached axially fixed. The vertical tension elements (3) are allocated to the tiles (1) in such a way that at least one of the vertical tension elements (3) allocated to a tile in each case passes through two holding elements (5) of the tile (1), namely a first holding element (5), which is arranged in a lower area of the tile, and a second holding element (5), which is arranged in an upper area of the tile (1). To mount the tiles on the vertical tension elements (3) it is provided that the bearing bodies (4) attached to the vertical tension elements cooperate with the holding elements (5).
Glass fastening and sealing systems
A glass sealing system includes a glass portion and a first adhesive layer disposed along an exterior surface of the glass portion. The glass sealing system also includes a cover with a first surface secured to the first adhesive layer and a second surface opposing the first surface. The glass sealing system includes a second adhesive layer disposed on the second surface and configured to secure the cover to a support structure. The cover obscures the second adhesive layer from view of a user looking through the glass portion toward the support structure.
CURTAIN WALL AND WALL ELEMENT THEREBY APPLIED AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A WALL ELEMENT
A curtain wall constructed from prefabricated connecting wall elements mounted in rows next to and above each other with the wall elements including a frame of assembled profiles on the inside of the curtain wall and of one or more infill elements on the outside of the curtain wall. The frame contains mullions and transoms in the form of profiles which along the perimeter of the frame have female coupling parts and male coupling parts which allow the adjacent mullions and adjacent transoms in an assembled condition in the curtain wall to engage with their coupling parts to form composite basic profiles, where between two rows of connecting wall elements a horizontal seal has been applied which extends continuously in a horizontal direction over the width of the underlying row.
Cassette frame components and methods of installation
The present disclosure describes cassette frame assemblies and methods of installing them onto curtainwall structures. Assemblies can include a mullion and a first cassette frame coupled to a front end of the mullion via an anchoring tab. The anchoring tab can be configured to move within the first cassette frame prior to installation. An assembly can also include a second cassette frame coupled to the front end of the mullion via a second anchoring tab. A first glass panel can be fixed to the first cassette frame and a second glass panel can be fixed to the second cassette frame. Anchoring tabs can be slidable and pivotable to facilitate safe and efficient installation onto a curtainwall structure.
Curtain wall with a wall element with a frame with a compartment for a wing or the like and method for replacing an infill element in a curtain wall
A curtain wall constructed from prefabricated connecting wall elements including a frame of assembled profiles on the inside of the curtain wall and of one or more filling elements on the outside. The curtain wall contains a wall element with a two-part frame including two subframes, respectively a fixed frame part and a second frame part fitted with an infill element, where the fixed frame part is located behind the second frame part seen from the outside of the curtain wall, where the fixed frame part is equipped with a rebate into which the second frame part fits and where the relevant filling element is attached to the outside of the curtain wall on the outward looking side of the second frame part using structural silicone in such a way that this outside of the second frame part is entirely covered by the filling element.
Device for securing a glass pane
The disclosed subject matter relates to an apparatus for detachable fastening of a glass pane to a substructure, comprising a block strip that is subdivided into a block piece to block the glass pane on one of its peripheral sides and a holding piece to lie against the substructure, the block strip having at least one opening for fastening means for detachable fastening of the block strip to the substructure, and a bonding strip, an outer surface of which is bondable with one side of the glass pane, wherein the holding piece has a projection and the bonding strip engages the projection on the side facing away from the block piece when the glass pane is in the fastened state.
