A one-piece truss adapter for supporting single-axis trackers with truss foundations. A y-shaped structure has a pair of legs with an angularly adjustable connector for securely joining the one-piece adapter to a pair of driven screw anchors at different angular orientations. Each leg terminates in a ball-shaped connector that is received in a socket integral to a driving coupler at the head of each screw anchor. A retaining nut holds the connector in place to complete the angularly adjustable assembly.

A one-piece truss adapter for supporting single-axis trackers with truss foundations. A upside-down Y-shaped structure has bearing support portion and an opposing pair of legs with an angularly adjustable connector for securely joining the one-piece adapter to a pair of driven screw anchors at different angular orientations. Each leg terminates in a connector that is received in a socket integral to a driving coupler at the head of each screw anchor. A retaining nut may hold the connector in place to complete the angularly adjustable assembly.

Apparatus for making a geodesic shape and methods of using the same

A method of making a geodesic shape is provided. The method comprises of providing and assembling a plurality of pre-made forms, and a plurality of struts. The pre-made forms have a triangular shape, first and second inner edges, and an outer edge. The length of each inner edge and outer edge are determined by the frequency of the geodesic shape, diameter of the geodesic shape, and known formulas for relating diameter and frequency when creating a geodesic dome or sphere. Using the pre-made forms and struts, a polygonal shape is assembled, each shape having either five or six pre-made forms. The resulting desired polygonal shape and additional desired polygonal shapes made using the same steps are connected at preset angles in known geodesic form and function. The desired polygonal shapes then combine to form a desired geodesic shape. Throughout the process, no struts are operably coupled to other struts.

BEAM CONNECTOR FOR ARCH STRUCTURE
20170298612 · 2017-10-19 ·

The invention is a structural connector used as a component to construct an arch consisting of a plurality of closely adjacent, polygonal rows of stringer beams. The multiple row polygonal arch is a low-cost, general purpose support structure for bridges, shelters and arbors applicable to many cost-, time- or environmentally-sensitive situations. The invention is a Y-shaped connector, typically made of sheet metal, with three brackets, two upper brackets and a lower bracket, which collectively enable a union of three beams forming one node of the multiple row polygonal arch. Using these Y-shaped connectors to join the beams at each node creates the arch structure, and additionally provides the features of cantilevering, modularity, generic component shape, reusability and safety. The invention is applicable to a variety of structures such as: pedestrian and vehicular bridges, shelters, arbors, as well as jewelry, furniture and toys.

Wall systems and buildings having such wall systems are disclosed. Such wall systems include parametric mullions each of which is constructed from a plurality of interconnecting components so that the wall systems may be disposed much closer to the building frame than conventional wall systems. Such wall systems may include panels disposed to form convex or concave facades. Such wall systems may also include decorative features superimposed over one or more panels or extending outward from the facade surface. The parametric mullions may be formed into trusses which may be used as part of a wall system or independently of such wall systems.

An arch building structure includes a plurality of structural arch assemblies, a plurality of purlins, and a plurality of flat roofing sections. The plurality of structural arch assemblies is positioned parallel and offset from each other upon the length of the building. The plurality of purlins is positioned perpendicular to the plurality of structural arch assemblies and radially positioned on the vertexes of the plurality of structural arch assemblies to further strengthen the building. Each of the plurality of flat roofing sections is mounted across a corresponding pair of adjacent purlins from the plurality of purlins so that the building roof can be completed.
