Interface strips for structural framing and related framing methods
Interface strips for structural framing and related framing methods are disclosed. The interface strips comprise at least one thin, elongate pliable and malleable mesh layer, and at least one thin, elongate resilient and compressible outer layer extending over at least one face of the mesh layer. The at least one pliable and malleable mesh is configured to maintain a three-dimensional shape of the interface strip, and at least one face of the interface strip includes a plurality of spaced visual framing location indications. The framing methods include coupling the interface strip over the top and bottom framing plates, and cutting the interface strip along a length of the interface strip that is substantially aligned with an interface of the top and bottom framing plates to form first and second interface strip portions coupled to the top and bottom plates, respectively, each including portions of the visual framing location indications.
Foam measuring and insulating covers for wood and steel framing members
An insulation cap for wall framing members comprising a base section; a first side wall extending outwardly from said base section; a second side wall laterally spaced from said first side wall and extending outwardly from said base section complementary to said first side wall; a generally U-shaped channel defined by said base section, said first side wall and said second side wall define for receiving a framing member so that at least a portion of an exterior surface of said framing member is encased by said base section, said first side wall and said second side wall; whereby a thermal break is provided between an exterior and interior sheathing around framing members and creates an airtight arrangement with insulation material for improved R values.
INTERFACE STRIPS FOR STRUCTURAL FRAMING AND RELATED FRAMING METHODS
Interface strip 10 for structural framing and related framing methods are disclosed. The interface strip 10 comprise at least one thin, elongate pliable and malleable mesh layer, and at least one thin, elongate resilient and compressible outer layer extending over at least one face of the mesh layer.
Mineral wool product
The invention relates to a mineral wool product comprising mineral fibers that is marked with an UV or IR active substance and can therefore be identified under exposure to suitable radiation.
PREFABRICATED WALL APPARATUS AND METHOD
A prefabricated wall module may include framing members and one or more insulations members. The insulation member may have pre-incisions, as made by a hot-wire, defining service fitting accommodations. The service fitting accommodations are accessible on the inside face of the insulation. The service fitting accommodations may be either or both of vertically or laterally extending, and are located in the same places in each module, the vertical locations being next to the studs, to which service fittings may typically be mounted, the lateral accommodations being at heights typical of switches and wall outlets. The insulation members may be supplied with tabs filling the accommodations. The tabs may be snapped out as required. The insulation members may have stud channels that are shallower than the studs, such that an air gap is established between the insulation and the internal gypsum board covering.
ACOUSTIC PANELS AND WALL COVERING SYSTEMS
An acoustic panel is disclosed comprising a first enclosed chamber, a second enclosed chamber, a front panel, and an unenclosed chamber defined between the first enclosed chamber, the second enclosed chamber, and the front panel. The acoustic panel can be folded into shape from a single piece of material. The acoustic panel can comprise a base color and ink printed on less than all of the exposed surfaces of the acoustic panel comprising the base color. The acoustic panel can comprise a design on the front panel and, in addition, side panels comprising designs that are an extension of the front design.
INSULATION BLOCK FOR A CORNER STUD CAVITY
A corner insulation block for installation in a corner stud cavity of a wall system of a structure is disclosed. The corner insulation block includes a foam body in the shape of a rectangular prism. The foam body of the corner insulation block includes a width, a thickness, and extends a length between a first end and an opposite second end. The corner insulation block includes a plurality of cutting guides at one of the first end or the opposite second end of the foam body. Each of the plurality of cutting guides is spaced from an adjacent one of the plurality of cutting guides.
