ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS FOR LIGHTING IN SUSPENDED CEILINGS
An acoustic housing, a light fixture, a suspended ceiling system, and a method of decreasing sound transfer from a light fixture in a suspended ceiling are disclosed. An acoustic hood for a light fixture in a suspended ceiling may include a partially enclosed space formed between a plurality of wall portions. A light fixture may include first and second layers that are coupled to one another and form a partially enclosed space. A suspended ceiling system may include the acoustic hood or light fixture. The method relates to disposing an acoustic housing spaced from the light fixture.

System for creating an illusion of a skylight
A system and method for creating a trompe-l'oeil skylight in a ceiling where a light emitting image of the sky is provided in a structure configured to emulate a skylight frame, including an embodiment of a unified non-rectangular sky image area in a substantially rectangular fixture which mount as a single unit into a substantially rectangular hole in a ceiling.

Lighting Arrangement for a Suspended Ceiling Grid System Containing Decorative Co-Planar Ceiling Components
A method of creating a sculpted decorative ceiling with lighting fixtures in a suspended ceiling grid utilizing ceiling components constructed with structural side elements and a floor, forming a cavity that extends downward three to five inches. Each individual component has a perimeter installation flange enabling it to be installed into a new or existing ceiling grid system cell. The said components esthetic contours and functional structural side elements, as well as the size of the perimeter installation flange create space(s) between installed components, throughout an entire ceiling arrangement of said components or in specific areas of arrangements of said components, for luminesce channel(s) in which may be positioned one or more lighting fixtures, or combinations of lighting fixtures, attached to the room facing surfaces of the cross tee or main runner flanges that comprise the ceiling grid structural assembly. Components may have floor perimeter shapes approximately equal in area to the entire ceiling grid cell, or they may have floors perimeter shapes occupying only part of the ceiling grid cell with a filler section at right angles to the structural side elements of the component that extend co-planer to the perimeter installation flange. Ceiling components can come in a variety of floor profile shapes allowing the construction of a wide variety of arrangements in the suspended ceiling grid. The side panels and the floor can be created with a wide variety of decorative surfaces.
STRETCHED-WEB STRUCTURE FOR PRODUCING A FALSE CEILING OR A DROPPED CEILING BOX
A stretched-web structure for producing a false ceiling or a dropped ceiling box in a room, including two flexible webs arranged parallel to one another and fastened stretched between at least one wall, wherein one of the webs is made of polyvinyl chloride and the other web is made of fabric.

Illuminated tile for a false wall and false wall incorporating such a tile
A lighted tile for false panel, including a frame having a bottom and sides that extend projecting from the bottom, a backlighting system having a series of lights attached to the bottom, and a stretched flexible sheet that extends between the sides facing the lights. The lights are light-emitting diodes, and the sheet is secured to the sides of the frame.

TRANSLUCENT CEILING OR WALL PANEL
A ceiling panel according to the present invention has opposed translucent membranes secured in a tensioned state across a perimeter frame. The frame includes frame members that are designed to oppose inward bowing of the perimeter frame caused by the tensioned membranes. The frame members have a side profile shaped to conceal a grid support network with the lower translucent member extending across and about a lower edge of the perimeter frame. The invention also includes a modified structure for supporting of translucent panels below a grid network.
