Pre-stressed beams or panels
A method of manufacturing a pre-stressed beam or panel and the resulting beam or panel are described. The method includes providing a timber-based component (1); providing a pre-stressing member (9) arranged along the timber-based component; applying a tensile force to the pre-stressing member (9); providing concrete anchors (11a, 11b) at locations that are spaced apart along the timber-based component (1); coupling the pre-stressing member (9) to the concrete anchors (11a, 11b); and releasing the tensile force on the pre-stressing member (9) to transfer a compressive force to the timber-based component (1) through the concrete anchors (11a, 11b) to form a pre-stressed beam or panel.
GRATING SEPARATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING GRATING
Grating is formed from longitudinal members and transverse members that are operatively coupled together. The longitudinal members may be described as bearing members and the transverse members may be described as cross members that extend between the bearing members. The separation system and process of the present disclosure separates an initial grating having an initial grating width into multiple gratings have gratings widths less than the initial grating width. The separation system includes a driven die assembly having opposing dies, each opposing die having knives and spacers which interact to separate the cross members of the grating to create multiple gratings as the same time. The knives may be set up in different configurations in order to create any number of gratings having flush cross members (e.g., flush with the bearing members) and/or overhanging cross members (e.g., hang over the bearing members).
GRATE GROUNDING DEVICE
A grounding device, including a top plate including a central portion and a plurality of curved ends, the central portion of the top plate having a hole extending therethrough, a bottom plate including a central portion and a plurality of curved ends, the central portion of the bottom plate having a hole extending therethrough, a cap including a hole and a curved end adapted to retain a grounding wire, and a fastener extending through the holes of the top plate, the bottom plate, and the cap.
Grid Pattern Structural Shear Panels
Novel structural shear panels used for construction of shear walls and shear diaphragms, as well as sheathings and deckings, and similar constructions, where the structural shear panels have novel shapes formed in a grid pattern, comprised of an ordered series of voids, and material in the form of a grid, called grid pattern structural shear panels, where the ordered series of voids reduce the amount of raw material and weight in said grid pattern structural shear panels, and the material in the form of a grid is configured so that it resists the design loads required for the structural use of said grid pattern structural shear panels, and is also configured so that it provides a surface for the connection of said grid pattern structural shear panels to framing members and other building components by the means of fasteners, consistent with standardized construction industry spacings for said fasteners, and where said ordered series of voids provides points of graspability throughout the plane of said grid pattern structural shear panels, as well as the benefits of ventilation, visibility, the passage of light, and facilitates the penetration of small conduits throughout the plane of said grid pattern structural shear panels, without interrupting said material in the form of a grid.
Grate, in particular for use as a shelf for pallet racks or heavy duty racks
A grating for use as shelves for pallet racks or heavy-duty racks, having two longitudinal sides and cross members fitted between the longitudinal sides. The, longitudinal sides are in the shape of a profile in cross section. The profile includes at least a first leg and a second leg arranged substantially orthogonal to the first leg. At least two of the cross members have an open profile, in particular a U- or L-shaped profile in cross section, the open end of which is oriented towards the underside of the grating. Each of these cross members has at least two punched recesses at each end. The first leg of the profile is arranged in each punched recess and is firmly connected thereto via a form- or force-fitting connection method. The first leg of the profile has at least one deformation.
Covering consisting of a plurality of gratings inserted one into another
Covers for drains, manholes or similar constructions are known which comprise a first grate (10) made of sheet metal and comprising slots (11) and struts (12), said struts having top faces (13) and each strut having side faces (14, 14) made of sheet metal bent with respect to the top face. In order to increase the rigidity it is proposed that at least a second grate (20) is provided, the struts (22) of which are inserted in the slots (11) of the first grate (10).

Skeleton unit and skeleton unit assembly
A skeleton unit to mount mosaic plates, includes a main body section and an extension section. The main body section is integrally formed by strip pieces perpendicularly crossing each other to provide a grille shape. The extension section extends out from four edges of the main body section and is integrally formed with the main body section. The extension section includes prolongation pieces which respectively extend out from both ends of each strip piece, and parallel strips which connect with the outside ends of each prolongation piece on the same side and are in parallel with the edges of the main body section respectively. The parallel strip has lap joint hole portions, which penetrates the parallel strips and are used to overlap another skeleton unit. The sum of double the length of the prolongation piece and the width of the parallel strip is equal to the length of the grid.
