An anchor for supporting a load includes an anchor rod having a first threaded end portion for being embedded in a concrete structure and a second end portion for attachment to a load; a metallic wedge-shaped body attached to the first threaded end portion; and the body includes a circular cross-section, a circular top surface and a circular bottom surface joined by a side surface.

A table shear may include a clamp and a shearing mechanism, the shearing mechanism supported by the clamp. The shearing mechanism may include a fixed lower shear blade, a lower shear blade backup plate supporting the fixed lower shear blade, a moveable upper shear blade and a shear compression cylinder. A method and system for forming a post-tensioned concrete slab using a post-tensioning concrete anchor. The system may comprise a connector anchor including a bore that includes a first frustoconical portion, and the connector anchor may be adapted to bear on the post-tensioning concrete anchor. The system may also comprise a coupler comprising a connector and a coupler body that includes a second frustoconical portion that is oriented oppositely to the first frustoconical portion. The connector may have a bore therethrough and may be configured to receive the coupler body and to engage the connector anchor. A pocket-forming cap may releasably engage the post-tensioning concrete anchor; the pocket-forming cap may include a frustoconical wall, a gripping head, and a connector-receiving portion. The method may include using the system to form a second concrete section adjacent to a first concrete section before stressing the first concrete section.

A system, method, and apparatus for post-tensioning in masonry-based system, especially concrete support systems. In one embodiment, a system is presented that can include an anchor, pocket-former, and bolt, wherein the pocket-former can be configured to engage each of the anchor and bolt to facilitate securing of the system to a form. In another embodiment, a method of post-tensioning is presented, wherein a tendon can be suspended at the live end via connections facilitated by a pocket-former. In another embodiment, a system and method of post-tensioning is presented that prevents a pocket and anchor from being contaminated with debris that could ultimately compromise the integrity of the tensioned material.

A system for use with a post-tensioning concrete anchor may comprise a connector anchor including a bore therethrough, the bore including a first frustoconical portion, the connector anchor adapted to bear on the post-tensioning concrete anchor, and a coupler. The coupler may comprise a coupler body including a bore therethrough, the bore including a second frustoconical portion that is oriented oppositely to the first frustoconical portion, and a connector having a bore therethrough and configured to receive the coupler body therein, the connector adapted to mechanically engage the connector anchor such that a tensioning force can be transmitted from the coupler body to the connector anchor via the connector. A method of using the system may allow a second concrete section to be poured adjacent to a first concrete section before the first concrete section has been stressed.

An intermediate anchor assembly includes an encapsulated anchor having a front and rear encapsulation extensions. The assembly includes a cap with an outer surface and a front tube with an inside diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of a tension member. The assembly includes a front adapter that sealingly couples to the outer surface of the cap and sealingly couples to the outer surface of the front tube. The assembly includes a rear tube having an inside diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of the tension member. The assembly includes a rear adapter that sealingly couples to the rear encapsulation extension and sealingly couples to the outer surface of the rear tube. The assembly includes a first split seal sealingly fit between the tension member and the front tube and a second split seal sealingly fit between the tension member and the rear tube.

An intermediate anchor assembly includes an encapsulated anchor having a front and rear encapsulation extensions. The assembly includes a cap with an outer surface and a front tube with an inside diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of a tension member. The assembly includes a front adapter that sealingly couples to the outer surface of the cap and sealingly couples to the outer surface of the front tube. The assembly includes a rear tube having an inside diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of the tension member. The assembly includes a rear adapter that sealingly couples to the rear encapsulation extension and sealingly couples to the outer surface of the rear tube. The assembly includes a first split seal sealingly fit between the tension member and the front tube and a second split seal sealingly fit between the tension member and the rear tube.

A method of heat treating post-tensioning strand wedges that enhances efficiency, repeatability and safety is provided. The method includes providing a plurality of post-tensioning strand wedges, transporting each post-tensioning strand wedge to a heating assembly having a first induction heater, heating each post-tensioning strand wedge using the first induction heater of the heating assembly to form a heated post-tensioning strand wedge in a plurality of heated post-tensioning strand wedges, and delivering the plurality of heated post-tensioning strand wedges to perform a series of actions.
