Sealing element and method for producing a sealing element
A sealing element, in particular for sealing a frame element with respect to a building component, having a sandwich structure, including: a metallic primary layer which is creped at least in certain regions to form an elongation reserve of the sealing element; a secondary layer; and a bitumen-including filling layer which is arranged between the primary layer and the secondary layer.
Cantilevered objects
A roof curb supported by an upstanding support curb to support various objects including, but not limited to, screens, architectural screens, catwalks, lighting, speakers, security apparatus, cameras, weather indicators, electronic devices, antennae, sound dampening materials, advertising, and security cages. The roof curb includes a top curb portion and two or more spaced, generally horizontal extending support members which then, in turn, support one or more objects such that no portion of the object(s) comes into contact with the underlying roof.
ADHESIVE WATERPROOF TAPE SYSTEM FOR ROOFING AND FLASHING
A house sealing method is herein provided. The method involves using a tacky on both sides detail membrane having a reinforced inner core to seal various areas of a building envelope.
Method and apparatus for installation of roof equipment
The present subject matter provides apparatus for connecting a roof assembly to a membrane using at least one backer rod connected to the membrane, including: counterflashing disposed about the perimeter of the roof assembly, the counterflashing including a plurality of grips configured to receive and engage the at least one backer rod in contact with the membrane, so as to hold the membrane securely in position and maintain a weather seal at a desired flashing height of the membrane. In various examples, the roof assembly includes a roof hatch, window, or other fenestration unit. In various examples, the present subject matter provides a hatch attached to a wall for sealing an opening. In various examples, the present subject matter provides a method for operating a roof assembly for connection to a roof membrane.
Flashing assembly for a roof penetrating structure and a method for manufacturing a flashing assembly
A flashing assembly for use with a roof penetrating structure, such as a roof window, in an inclined roof of a building is disclosed. It comprises a bottom flashing element and at least one side flashing element, both of which are provided with a bend portion bent away from the interior side towards the exterior side and forming a water drainage channel, which extends along an edge. The dimensions of the flashing elements are such that the two water drainage channels extend in continuation of each other in the mounted condition of the flashing assembly, and least one of the water drainage channels has a U-shape in a cross-section perpendicular to the edge of the flashing element along which is extends. A method for manufacturing a flashing assembly is also disclosed.
Roof vent adaptors and methods
Various roof vent adaptors are disclosed. The roof vent adaptors can be used to seal penetrations on buildings, such as vent penetrations on metal or non-metal roofs. In various embodiments, the roof vent adaptor includes a sealing member, an outer securing unit and an inner securing unit. The roof vent adaptor can be secured to the roof to provide a generally liquid-tight seal around the roof vent, thereby inhibiting or preventing water intrusion into the building.
CONNECTOR ARRANGEMENT AND A METHOD FOR WEATHER PROOFING A ROOF WINDOW ARRANGEMENT
A connector arrangement for a flashing assembly for use in a roof window arrangement is disclosed. It comprises a base connector element, an elevation element and a top connector element. Both connector elements have a gutter in their exterior side, and the gutter is open at one end so that water can drain out of it. An attachment section on the interior side of the base connector element is configured for being attached to a bracket used for connecting a roof window to a load-bearing structure, and the elevation element supports the top connector element so that it is positioned above the base connector element. In the mounted state the second end of the top connector element is arranged above the gutter of the base connector element and their length directions extend substantially in parallel to each other. A method for weather proofing a roof window arrangement is also disclosed.
Middle flashing assembly and a method for weather-proofing a roof window arrangement
A middle flashing assembly for use in a roof window arrangement with a first roof window located above a second roof window when seen in the direction of inclination of the roof structure is disclosed. It comprises a middle flashing member configured for extending between the roof windows and having at least one engagement section configured for engagement with a connector element extending from the first roof window towards the second roof window. It further comprises an edge supporting rail and an edge gasket both extending on the interior side of the middle flashing member in parallel with a longitudinal edge. The edge gasket is located between the middle flashing member and the edge supporting rail in the mounted state. An end section extends beyond the middle flashing member in the length direction for engagement with the connector element. A method for weather-proofing a roof window arrangement is also disclosed.
