An isolation block is useful for sealing a flute of a fluted metal deck and a movement joint between the metal deck and an adjacent wall configuration. The isolation block includes a flute sealing portion adapted to snugly fit into one of the flutes of the fluted metal deck, a joint sealing portion for sealing a movement joint, and a corrugation sealing portion for sealing a corrugation between adjacent fluted deck elements or in one of the fluted deck elements.

A clip (61) for holding together an upper roof cladding sheet (29a) and a lower roof cladding sheet (29b) in an end to end, i.e. end lap, relationship on a roof. The clip is formed to fit over and lock onto a rib (31) of the lower cladding sheet and to retain the upper sheet on the clip. An elongate weather strip (57) is formed from a compressible material and includes a pan section (81) that can fill a gap between overlapping pans of the cladding sheets. The pan section includes an upper surface having a series of troughs (87) and ridges (89) along the length of the pan section that has the result of providing the pan section with a variable height along the length of the pan section. The ridges of the pan section compress when the upper roof cladding sheet is positioned on and engaged with the lower cladding sheet in an overlapping relationship with the pan section filling the gap between the cladding sheets.

A subframe configuration for a retrofit roof includes a subframe connected to the upper surface of a rib on an existing roof. The subframe is also connected to the valley/purlin of the existing roof. The connection can be a mechanical interference connection or one that is formed by a mechanical connector. The subframe of the disclosure includes a rib flange that extends from the bottom of the lip. The rib flange is disposed substantially parallel to the base of the subframe. When installed, a connector extends through the rib flange into a rib of the existing roof. Rib flange can be continuous or provided only at each or just some of the ribs.
