Silicone membranes

A method for covering a roof, the method comprising (i) providing first and second silicone membranes, where the membranes are in the form of rolls; (ii) unrolling the first and second silicone membranes over a roof surface; (iii) positioning first and second membranes adjacent to one another and overlapping and edge of the second over an adjacent edge of the first membrane to thereby form a lap; (iv) securing the first and second membranes to the roof surface; and (v) seaming the first membrane to the second membrane in the lap.

TENT FEATURING RETRACTABLE ROOF AND SIDE CANVAS PANELS OR SHEETS

Retractable roof and/or wall panels are disclosed herein. Such panels may be used as roof or wall portions for tents or other temporary structures allowing for variable outdoor exposure and easy transitions from indoor to outdoor spaces.

Hook and fleece roofing system with rolled up adhesive release layer and method of application

A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing. The release sheet is manually removed in the field to attach the fleece backing directly onto a layer of hooks that have been pre-attached onto the top of the insulation board. The release layer may be somewhat sticky, yet not adhere too tightly to the fleece layer such that its removal does not damage the fleece backing. The release layer may also be pre-rolled together with the fleece backed roofing membrane and shipped together as a unit into the field.

System, method and apparatus for thermal energy management in a roof

A roof product has a thermal heat storage layer, a vent layer with channels for transferring excess heat through a length of the roof product, and a flame retardant to suppress fire through the vent layer. These three materials form a unitary structure. The roof product may have a radiant layer, the thermal heat storage layer and the vent layer to form the unitary structure. The roof products are assembled in an abutting configuration on the roof of a building. The vent layer vents excess heat from an eave of the roof up to a ridge of the roof and out to atmosphere. The roof products manage thermal energy in the roof by storing thermal heat with the unitary roof product during a heating cycle; venting excess heat through the unitary product; and releasing the stored thermal heat from the unitary product into or out of the building during a cooling cycle.

Roof integrated photovoltaic system

A roof integrated photovoltaic system includes a starter bar having a foot base and configured to be installed to a roof deck, a plurality of water shedding layers, and a photovoltaic module. One of the plurality of water shedding layers is configured to be installed over the foot base of the starter bar, and one of another of which is configured to overlap and be installed over the one of the plurality of water shedding layers. The system further includes a foot module configured to be attached to an upper portion of the photovoltaic module. A lower portion of the photovoltaic module is configured to align with the foot base of the starter bar, and the foot module is configured to be affixed on a last overlapping layer of the plurality of water shedding layers to the roof deck.

Roof

A roof that comprises a flexible, sun and rain resistant sheet constructed such that when suspended and extended to form the roof, design-integrated rain valleys are formed that channel water to and off the outside edges of the roof.

Fire-resistant thermoplastic membrane composite and method of manufacturing the same

A thermoplastic membrane composite comprising (i) a planar thermoplastic body having first and second opposed planar surfaces; (ii) a fabric backing fixedly attached to said first planar surface thereby forming an interface between said thermoplastic body and said fabric backing; and (iii) expandable graphite disposed at or near the interface.

Method of securing roofing membrane using lightly adhesive release layer positioned between hook and loop fasteners

A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing.
