Anchor platform assembly with angled baseplate
11591799 · 2023-02-28 · ·

An anchor platform assembly for anchoring an object to a raised, generally flat roof-like structure, has an anchor baseplate having a top surface and a bottom surface, and an internally threaded blindbore extending at least partially from the top surface generally towards the bottom surface and fasteners for fastening an object to the anchor baseplate via its blindbore and for fastening the anchor baseplate to a top surface of a roof-like structure. The assembly is especially intended for supporting, e.g., glass railings on balconies terraces and flat roofs and for mounted solar panels on both flat and pitched roofs which provides strength and affords watertight performance.

Device for Securing a Guardrail to a Pour Stop
20230017137 · 2023-01-19 ·

A device for securing multiple sections of a guardrail to a pour stop to ultimately form a guardrail about a predetermined surface includes a base member; a stanchion member or pipe integrally secured to a top wall of a top portion of the base member; and an angle member having a side portion and a top portion with a top wall integrally joined to a bottom wall of the top portion of the base member. The stanchion member slidably receives a tube portion of a guardrail section. The side portion of the angle member includes an outer wall disposed substantially parallel to and separated from an inner wall of a second side portion of the base member, thereby forming a gap for receiving a top portion of a pour stop having a bottom portion secured to a surface outside the predetermined surface enclosed by the pour stop.

Standoff for mounting panel and method for mounting panels

A standoff for mounting panels such as glass panels in architectural applications include a plurality of parts that are first mounted to the panel and are then used to identify the locations for the anchor fasteners in the support structure or to locate the anchor fasteners as they are driven into the support structure. One configuration includes a bushing that defines a through opening. The bushing is placed through an opening the panel to be mounted. A barrel defining its own opening is then placed on the portion of the bushing that extends from the panel. The through hole of the bushing is aligned with the opening of the bushing such that an anchor fastener can pass through the bushing and the barrel into a support structure to which the panel is to be mounted.

A locking arrangement, including a panel with a locking groove; an edge strip with a first form; as well as a locking element placed at least partly or entirely between the edge strip and the panel. The locking element includes a protrusion inserted in the locking groove of the panel and configured to prevent the panel from detaching from the edge strip, and a second form matching with and received by the first form of the edge strip, and configured to prevent the locking element from detaching from the edge strip. In the presented method for assembling the locking arrangement, in its first step, the locking element is placed against the panel so that the protrusion is inserted in the locking groove of the panel, after which they are installed in the edge strip.

BALUSTRADE
20220381039 · 2022-12-01 ·

A balustrade arrangement according to this disclosure comprises a plurality of slats of monolithic toughened glass arranged in series substantially along a lateral direction. The slats each have a width in the lateral direction up to 300 mm from a first lateral side to a second lateral side of a slat. Adjacent slats are spaced apart from each other by a spacing gap of at least 6 mm, the spacing gap being smaller than the width of the slats. The slats are arranged so that, when one slat is removed from the balustrade to form a breakage gap between adjacent remaining slats, the width of the breakage gap in the lateral direction is at most 500 mm. Also disclosed is a balcony incorporating such a balustrade and a method for the installation of such a balustrade.

Hollow post anchoring systems for decking and related methods

Apparatus, systems, and methods for securing anchoring posts to a decking surface without the use of a metal plate or washer to redirect force from a single central fastener on an internally mounted anchor, or the use of an externally visible connector. An anchor member having a generally planar upper surface and vertical sidewalls has connection ridges extending out from those sidewalls that correspond to channels formed in the internal sidewalls of a hollow post member. Using a press, the anchor member is pressed into a secured position in the post. A plurality of attachment holes are disposed in a pattern around the anchor member, passing through the body thereof. For installation, a post with the fitted anchor is placed on a decking surface and a plurality of screws are attached to the decking surface to secure the anchor member and post thereto.

Panel securing system and method
11613895 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A securing system for use with glass panels is provided. The securing system provides clamping and securing forces to a panel held within a base shoe system, e.g., of a frameless glass guard railing. The securing system includes a back plate with separately tapered portions, and a shim assembly including tapered shim members. Each tapered shim member overlays a separately tapered portion of the back plate and is laterally positionable thereupon. Downward forces applied to the shim members are translated into lateral forces causing the shim members to move laterally in relation to the back plate. These lateral translations cause the system's width to increase to secure the panel within the base shoe and/or decrease to release the panel from the base shoe. The system also includes tools to apply said downward forces.
