An anchor for a cable or rod includes a ferrule or other spring stop, to which one or more springs or arms are coupled. The spring stop may be attached to an end or other region of the cable to enable the cable to be tensioned against a support structure. The one or more springs or arms may be, for example, one or more coil springs, one or more conical coil springs, two or more cantilever springs, or one more arms. The anchor is twisted or pushed through a hole in the support structure from a first side to a second side and contacts the surface of the second side. A ferrule spring stop may be swaged to the cable or rod.

A vertical cable barrier includes a top rail defining a plurality of top through holes spaced apart along a top web portion. A bottom rail includes a bottom web portion and a pair of bottom leg portions, where the bottom web portion and the pair of bottom leg portions form a channel, and the bottom web portion defines a plurality of bottom through holes spaced apart along the bottom web portion and aligned with the top through holes. A vertical cable is disposed on each side of a rigid support member. Each vertical cable includes a top end directly attached to a hollow tubular shank of a first top swage fitting and a bottom end of received in and directly attached to a hollow tubular shank of a first bottom swage fitting, where the top end of the vertical cable extends through one of the plurality of top through holes, and the bottom end of the vertical cable extends through one of the bottom through holes that is disposed in vertical alignment with the one top through hole. A first adjustable end member is coupled to the first bottom swage fitting and at least part of the first adjustable end member is disposed within the channel, wherein adjusting the first adjustable member adjusts a tension in the vertical cable.

Methods and structures for securing a tensioned cable to a support post in a cable railing system. A threaded insert is inserted into the support post and a decorative cover placed over the support post. A cable-lock is partially screwed into the threaded insert and an end of the cable inserted into the cable-lock. The cable-lock is further screwed into the threaded insert to tension the cable. A further embodiment provides that a tensioning cartridge is loaded and placed in a support post, a decorative cover placed over the support post, an end of the cable inserted into a push-to-lock fitting of the tensioning cartridge, and a sprint-lock mechanism of the tensioning cartridge released to tension the cable.

Vertical cables are mounted to and extend between the first rail member and second rail member. A first end of each vertical cable is secured within one of the first openings and a second end of each vertical cable is secured within an opposite one of the second openings.

The elastic member is placed inside the sleeve, an end abuts against an edge of the opening, and the other end connects one end of the movable rod. An end of the clamping member away from the movable rod is suitable for detachably connecting with a rope. The rope connector is convenient for rope connection and automatic adjustment of tension.

The rotatable structural bracket also includes a rotatable extension for placement into the internal void of the structural section. The rotatable extension can be configured as a wedge that is rotatable out from the internal void to angle the top plate at any acute angle relative to the horizontal rest position of the top plate. The top plate and the rotatable extension are of single-piece construction, and the rotatable extension rotates relative to the structural section and internal of the structural section. The rotatable extension also encompasses an opening of the internal void at any acute angle.
