Templating Device
A templating device for preparing beams includes a rod that has opposed ends, each of which is both slidably engageable and fixedly engageable to a first segment of a respective protractor of a pair of protractors, such that the first segment extends linearly from the rod. The first segment is pivotally engaged to a second segment, which is selectively fixably positionable relative to the first segment. The rod and the first segments are positioned between a pair of surfaces, with each second segment positioned flush to a respective surface. A user fixes the second segment relative to the first segment to provide a respective angle measurement and a length measurement between the surfaces, and then templates these measurements onto a beam. The user then can cut the beam to length, with the ends of the beam angled so that the beam fits between the pair of surfaces.
Devices and methods for mounting door frames
The present invention relates to a door frame, particularly a door frame for a pre-hung door assembly, which is foldable to minimize storage space and to allow for enhanced logistic efficiencies. The door frame contains parallel, spaced apart, vertical jambs and a horizontal header connecting the top ends of the jambs. Each of the jambs and the horizontal header contains a front section and back section that are hingedly joined so that then can be folded on to each other. The hingedly joined front and back sections allow the door fame to be foldable to minimize space occupied during storage.
ADAPTABLE DOOR MOUNTING SUPPORT FOR POSITIONING AND INSTALLATION OF DOOR SLAB AND METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY THEREOF
An adaptable door mounting support for acquiring a door gap and for supporting a door slab. The door mounting support comprises a frame member including first and second A-shaped segments interconnected by a rectangular bottom section and together defining a door support channel therebetween, and a tie device configured to meter the door gap and hold the door slab off the ground. A width of the door support channel is equal or larger than a thickness of the door slab. The tie device includes a cable tie extending between the A-shaped segments and across the door support channel, and a locking member attached to the cable tie by sliding over the cable tie. The locking member is slidable over the cable tie in one direction only and is lockable on the cable tie to adjust a distance between the cable tie and the bottom section of the frame member.
Carrying handle for a building component
A detachable carrying-handle arrangement is for a building component, especially a window or a door including a frame which is to be fixed in a supporting structure surrounding an opening in a building structure. The carrying-handle arrangement includes a grip portion connected to a plate-shaped attachment portion which is provided with at least two cut-outs which is arranged to lockingly engage with a fixing bolt.
INSTALLATION DOOR FRAME
The present invention provides a door frame comprising of two piece units and the method of installment to provide connection between the casing and the frame with a self-alignment system. This is done by a tongue and groove connection and plurality of prefabricated dowels that are specially formed to engage the grooves provided in the frame through the entire attachment area of the frame units together. The door frame units are being assembled and secured together by providing a solid reinforced assembly. In the door frame system of the present invention a strong square joint can be produced by inserting dowels at critical joints which is significantly stronger fastening mechanism than other fastening means such as nails, staples, etc. Low expansion reinforced foam fills the cavities of the frame and creates a solid bond between door system and casing.
Step shim
A “step shim” for positioning a fixture in a precise location relative to an adjoining support structure includes an elongated member having: (a) two, side surfaces, (b) a flat, bottom face, (c) a top face that includes a plurality of flat, adjoining segments, each of which is separated from an adjoining top face segment by a boundary line that extends across the top face (d) front and back ends, and (e) wherein this member has a configuration adapted to allow it to be broken apart along the member's boundary lines into a plurality of member segments that each correspond to one of the top face segments, and (f) wherein the distance between the bottom face and the segment of the above top face defines a member segment's height, each of which is progressively taller from the member's front to back end.
Mounting hardware assembly
A mounting hardware assembly is provided herein that includes a bracket having first and second sections. The first and second sections are coupled to one another by a weakened portion. A jamb flange and a wall flange are each defined by the first section. The wall flange is perpendicularly offset from the jamb flange at a common edge. First and second flange apertures are defined by the jamb flange. An elongated body is defined by the second section. A support flange extends at least partially along the elongated body. The support flange is offset from the elongated body. A plurality of openings are defined by the elongated body. The plurality openings includes at least first and second openings. The first opening and the first flange aperture at least partially align when the second opening and the second flange aperture are at least partially aligned.
Measuring and marking system
A marking gun having a marker container, a propellant canister, a supply tube, an expulsion chamber, and an attachment coupled to the expulsion chamber. The marker container is coupled to the expulsion chamber by the supply tube, and the propellant canister is coupled to the expulsion chamber. The marking gun is configured to expel the marker from the expulsion chamber. The attachment comprises a stencil, an elastic pointed tip, a housing, a screen, a magnet, one or more entry holes, or a combination thereof.
Measuring and marking system
The disclosure presents templates that can be useful in construction. Embodiments of the templates include a face, and two or more indicators. The indicators are located at one or more predetermined intervals on the face, and each indicator defines a window. Each window is of a predetermined length, and each indicator is coded to indicate that each indicator is located at one of the one or more predetermined intervals.
