Mortise jig assembly
A mortise jig assembly includes a block that is longitudinally elongated. The block has plurality of mortises therein and the block is clamped to a face of a door such that selected ones the mortises is aligned with an edge of the door. A jig panel is provided and the jig panel is positionable against the edge of the door to engage respective ones of the mortises thereby retaining the jig panel at a selected location on the edge of the door. The jig panel has a guide hole therein thereby facilitating the guide hole to be aligned with a preferred location to cut a hinge recess in the edge of the door. A pair of bolts is each extendable through the jig panel and the block for attaching the jig panel to the block.
Door hardware locating tool
A door hardware locating tool includes a center wall including a first aperture that defines a first axis, a first side wall including a movable aperture movable along a second axis between a first setback position and a second setback position, the second axis being parallel and offset from the first axis, and a second side wall coupled to the first side wall and extending substantially parallel to the first side wall. A clamping mechanism is operable to move the first side wall and the second side wall in a direction normal to the first axis between a first position and a second position to clamp a door between the first side wall and the second side wall. The first side wall and the second side wall remain parallel to one another and are equidistant from the first axis throughout movement between the first position and the second position.
Wall plate mount alignment system and method
A wall plate mounting system for attaching one end of a swing arm at a desired height and orientation to a vertical wall and attaches at the opposite end to a monitor and keyboard. The system includes an elongated body opened at one end with a center channel partially covered by two elevated flanges. The elongated body includes lateral flanges each with an upward extending ear. The ears are spaced apart and form a slot that communicates with the channel. Formed on the elongated body and under the slot are mounting holes. The system also includes an elongated template configured to slide freely inside the channel and under the ears. Formed on the elongated template is an elongated second slot and length measurement indices. During assembly, the elongated template is partially extended from the r channel formed on the elongated body at a desired length and locked together to form a jig. The jig is then moved to other walls and the mounting holes are marked so that mounting holes used with all wall plate mounting systems are the same height and proper orientation.
Adjustable scribe and associated use therefore
An adjustable carpentry reveal tool includes a base member, and a sliding member slidably engaged to the base member wherein the sliding member is configured to be selectively displaced along predetermined linear increments relative to the base member without becoming detached from the base member. Advantageously, the sliding member is configured to simultaneously mark a pair of adjustable reveals along the x-axis and the y-axis of the trim corner of the frame opening without having to fasten the base member to the trim corner of the frame opening. Notably, in this manner, the adjustable reveals are defined between an outermost periphery of the base member and an outermost periphery of the sliding member.
Marking Jig for Locating Mounting Holes for Handles and Pulls
A jig assembly for marking a cabinet with hole positions that are needed to install hardware. The jig assembly utilizes a reference plate. At least one matrix of holes is formed through the reference plate. The holes are used to make markings at different positions and distances. The holes are preferably identified with scale indicia that provide visual indications as to the positions of each of the holes. Arms are attached to the reference plate with pivot connections. Marking holes are disposed through the arms. The arms can rotate and extend from the reference plate in opposite directions. A top plate is positioned across the top edge of the reference plate. The top plate creates a guide. A side plate is positioned across a side edge of the reference plate. The side plate creates a second guide that intersects the top plate at a perpendicular.

DOOR JAMB POSITIONING TOOL
A jig for positioning door jambs has a base template and an alignment rail each part including opposing notch patterns and locator pin patterns, the alignment rail assembled to the base template and adjustable to travel via slots in the base template to enable stacking a pair of door jambs in correct configuration inside a constructed doorway for installation to the constructed doorway frame members.
Carpenter tool
The invention relates to a device for facilitating and easing the work of gauging the reveal between the edge of the door jamb to the trim, window sill to the trim, the underflooring to the baseboard, and locating studs.
