A large diameter single-piece thermoplastic concrete forming tube with axially spaced and integrally formed fully encircling circumferentially continuous radially rigidifying ribs, and method of forming a concrete column employing the tube.

Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture provide for a mold system for molding structures (e.g., sand castles) from one or more various types of molding substances (e.g., sand, clay, snow). In one embodiment, a mold system comprises a split mold comprising at least two mold sections. In one embodiment, a modular mold system allows for different types of mold sections with corresponding joining elements to be joined together to create forms for molding various types of structures. In some embodiments, mold sections are configured to facilitate the breaking of a vacuum created when molding substances are packed into the mold system, thus making it easier to separate a mold from the formed structure.

A method and an article of manufacture are disclosed for constructing, reinforcing, and repairing various structural elements such as columns, piles and the like using formworks that are reusable. The reusable articles of manufacture employed in the disclosed methods are or, if desired, may be permanently left in place. A column forming system for creating chamfer corners and allowing efficient movement from one column location to the next. The column forming system comprises a plurality of formwork panels, a hinge corner bracket moveable between an open and a closed position, and a plurality of corner brackets. The connection of the components allows for the manipulation of the formwork panels relative to one another. A closed position of the hinge corner bracket results in the column forming system defining a column interior.

The present invention discloses a TRC assemble permanent column formwork and a manufacturing method thereof, which belongs to the technical field of reinforced concrete building construction. The TRE assemble permanent column formwork comprises first panels, second panels, circumferential bolts, longitudinal bolts, nuts and gaskets; the formwork is manufactured from an engineered cementitious composite ECC and a woven fabric net; the first panels are used for assembling the column formwork at the two ends of a column, and the second panels are used for assembling the column formwork in the middle section of the column; the panels are provided with preformed bolt holes, and the bolt holes among the panels are corresponding to each other for bolt connections; the bolts include circumferential bolts and longitudinal bolts. The TRE permanent column formwork provided by the present invention can reduce material waste, labor cost, and project cost. Besides, the panels have advantages of easy and firm assembling, convenient transportation and low manufacturing cost, and the formwork has great application prospects.

A process and form for casting a concrete light pole base having a decorative upper portion with a configuration for mounting a light pole. The form includes a base having an opening in which a resilient insert is positioned. The insert has openings for holding threaded ends of mounting bolts and for positioning wiring conduits. Ends of the bolts extend from the insert into the mold cavity. Different inserts may be used to accommodate different light pole mounting specifications. A first form section for shaping a decorative upper portion of the light pole base is positioned on the base, and forms for shaping the cylindrical lower end of the light pole base are secured above the first form section.

A collar assembly of or for a tower being formed by progressively higher concrete composition pours into reinforcement including formwork defined cavities, the assembly comprising or including; a higher subassembly adapted as a collar to selectively index to a zone of the tower being formed, a lower subassembly adapted as a collar to selectively index to a zone of the tower being formed, and a jacking arrangement whereby (I), when the lower subassembly is zone indexed and the higher subassembly is not, the higher subassembly can be raised relative to the lower subassembly and the zone to a fresh indexing height and (II), when the higher subassembly is zone indexed and the lower subassembly is not, the lower subassembly can be raised to a fresh indexing height.

An apparatus for forming a concrete column is disclosed. The apparatus may include a first column form half and a second column form half, which may be designed to be fitted together. The apparatus may also include a fastening system having at least one brace and a plurality of straps to fasten the first column form half with the second column form half to form a full column form. The full column form may then be filled with a poured concrete mixture, which when hardened or cured, may be a concrete column used in any number of structural or design applications.

An enclosure device for a concrete column formwork uses an envelope comprising a tubular wall portion and a top portion supported on the formwork such that the wall portion extends about a perimeter of the column formwork and extends vertically along a height of the column formwork and such that the top portion encloses a top end of the wall portion. The envelope also has brace openings to receive formwork braces extending therethrough and slots in the envelope communicating between the brace openings and a bottom edge of the wall portion so that the envelope can be lowered downwardly over the column formwork as the braces are inserted upwardly through the slots into the brace openings.
