METHOD OF INSTALLING A BALCONY, AND DEVICE FOR THE SAME
A method of securing a balcony to a façade of a building, an activatable balcony fixing, a balcony, and a kit. The method comprising the steps of: aligning the balcony with a projection of the façade, such that an activatable balcony fixing including a shaft, attached to the balcony, is aligned with a socket in the projection; driving the shaft through the socket in the projection, thereby securing the balcony to the façade; and locking the balcony to the façade through one or more further fixings, wherein the shaft and/or the socket in the projection are configured so as to provide tapering engagement between the shaft and the socket.
Threshold system with an insulated thermal break device and related methods
A threshold system with an insulated thermal break device configured to provide a thermal break for insulating a door opening and related methods is provided.
Portable robotic construction system
A robotic system having a movable gantry robot (10) for conducting construction operations. The gantry may have an expandable bridge (20) and articulated gantry support legs (34) as well as a support track system (60) holding a gantry robot (800) which may hold one or more implements and peripheral devices (806). The device can be moved by propulsion mechanisms, a controller, and one or more geo-positioned control devices to provide position information for the robotic gantry as it moves back and forth along a plurality of work sites (700). The robotic gantry is connected to a power supply system (236). The controller is automated, self-navigating, and activates, deactivates, and/or changes the operation of the propulsion mechanisms, and deploys, retracts, activates, deactivates, and/or changes the operation of one or more of the construction implements. The height of the frame may be adjusted by extending and rotating risers and booms to accommodate different building heights or sub-level heights at a worksite. A conveyor system is optimized for removing dirt from or delivering material to the robotic arm. This invention can be applied to automating construction jobs including surveying, land preparation, excavation, foundation, masonry, framing, and additive fabrication.
Doorway Lintel Lift Apparatus and Method
A doorway lintel lift apparatus and method are provided. The door lintel lift apparatus may include two support columns, a lintel that is configured to be attached to the support columns, and that includes a vertical flange and a horizontal flange. The apparatus may include two lift bolts coupled to two end portions of the horizontal flange. The two lift bolts may be configured to respectively raise the two end portions of the horizontal flange. The apparatus may include two rotatable lift nuts that, when rotated, raise the lift bolts to engage and raise the two ends of the horizontal flange.
Method for Constructing Structure Framework with Graduated Tracks and Studs
A metered track and stud framework erection method and system is disclosed. The system employs tracks which are metered to facilitate the rapid and accurate placement of studs between the tracks at equidistant spacing as required by conventional building codes and statutes. The studs are also metered or graduated, preferably in inches and centimeters, to facilitate the correct and appropriate placement of electrical outlets and plumbing avenues without costly errors. A method is disclosed for the proper use of the metered tracks and studs to efficiently and rapidly erect structure framework.
FRAMING BUDDY DECK FRAMING TOOL
A framing tool supports one end of beam member while the other end of the beam is secured to another beam or structure. The framing tool includes a support portion, a receiving portion and a strap. The strap wraps around a beam member to secure the beam member within the receiving portion. The support portion holds one end of the beam member in place so that an installer may secure the other end of the beam member without the aid of another installer.
A MASONRY REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE COMPRISING PARALLEL ASSEMBLIES OF GROUPED METAL FILAMENTS AND A POLYMER COATING
The invention relates to a masonry reinforcement structure (100) comprising at least two assemblies (102) of grouped metal filaments, at least one positioning element (104) for positioning the assemblies (102) of grouped metal filaments in a predetermined position and a polymer coating (110) for securing the assemblies (102) of grouped metal filaments in this predetermined position. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such masonry reinforcement structure (100) and to a roll comprising such a masonry reinforcement structure(100). The invention further relates to masonry reinforced with such masonry reinforcement structure (100) and to a method to apply such masonry reinforcement structure(100).
AN ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM, AN ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT, A METHOD OF ORIENTING AN ELEMENT, AND USE OF SUCH SYSTEM
An adjustment system including an adjustable support, a driving arrangement, a locking arrangement and a motor. The adjustable support includes a base including a bore having an open mouth; a screw being movable received in the bore while having a free end configured to project past the open mouth of the bore; and a driver being arranged in driving engagement with the screw, whereby a rotation of the driver results in a linear movement of the screw along the longitudinal extension of the bore. The driving arrangement includes a driver actuator arranged to be driven by the motor. Further, a method of orienting an element relative to a reference plane is provided.
UNIVERSAL BRACING BRACKET FOR ROOF ERECTION
Described herein is a truss/rafter roof erection device, kit and system. A removable universal bracing bracket assembly attaches to a construction member such as a truss on one end and includes at least one vertical bracket member attachable to a proximal end of a wood beam member that extends down to the ground to support the truss in an upright position during roof construction. Another pivoting bracket on the bracket assembly allows another wood beam member to be attached and extend down to the ground to further support the truss in an upright position.
PROJECTION SYSTEM, PROJECTION DEVICE AND PROJECTION METHOD
A projection system includes a projection device that projects drawings individually onto a plurality of work spots in a work site. The projection device includes a driver that changes an orientation of the projection device. When drawings are individually projected onto a first work spot and a second work spot in a stated sequence, and the second work spot is outside a projection angle that is projectable by the projection device, the driver changes the orientation of the projection device to include the second work spot within the projection angle after work at the first work spot is finished. The first work spot and the second work spot are included in the plurality of work spots.
